Hey there. I own an AMD RX 5700 XT, the Sapphire Pulse more precisely, my first AMD card after a period of nvidia ownership. However, I've been having a lot of problems with it (BSODs and blackouts mostly, in which i initially thought it was driver related. However, it looks like it was a problem related to the PCI-E riser, which is gen 3. 0, but the whole system was running on 4. 0. After some research, the riser was indeed a cause of issues, and in order to solve these I simply forced my motherboard to run on PCI 3. 0 (Gigabyte X570 ITX here, which has such option. Many other people might be having the same problems, and blaming AMD for it (like i initially did: D, but in fact it's an issue related to outdated PCI-E risers. Im using a compact case (FTZ01-E, so I have to keep using the riser. I was lucky the Gigabyte MB allowed for a PCI Gen change in the bios, otherwise i'd be stuck with this. Maybe you'll find this piece of information useful to use in one of your videos in the future. Or not: D. Eitherway, the issues are gone and the whole system is stable now. It's a pitty AMD are lacking on tech support for these kind of diagnostics, as I've only seen one of their tech support personnel answer to a client about this potential riser issue. Their adrenaline website (or the absence of it) could also use an overhaul in which patch and driver updates/news would be more easily communicated with the community, sort of what the Geforce Experience has.

That's a closed system. You people invent definitions to fit your world view. An open system does not recirculate the same fluids. I worked on open and closed systems half my life. Closed systems have reservoirs you foolish people. If a system circulate same fluid its a closed system period even with a reservoir. Just because there is no fill port doesn't change a open loop to a closed loop. Hook your pc to city water. No pump required as your using water pressure from city only and the water does NOT cocirculate it goes down the drain. I use to do it all the time to break records with Dothan/P4. Now days these chips really don't need A OPEN LOOP. Its dirty undrinkable water with lots of minerals in. BAD! MY guess is your a leftist Democrat. Go to any canning company you will see both open systems. Water moving PRODUCT IS FRESH ALWAYS. Its nothing for a cannery to use 1 million gallons of fresh water in 1 day. Now closed loops would be recirculate hydraulics or even your PC. LoL! ALL MOST all have reservoirs. There all closed loop just like your sealed system is a closed system. I don't understand why nobody seems to take into account warranty policies when reviewing cards. I owned a Sapphire card years ago that went bad. To get warranty support I had to pay to ship it across Canada to get it to Toronto, wait for them to ship the card to China to get it repaired and shipped back, then I had to pay shipping from Toronto back across Canada AGAIN. It cost 50% of the cost of a brand new card and my PC was a paperweight for over a month to get warranty support. I'll NEVER buy Sapphire again and simply filter them out of ANY consideration whatsoever. Just hearing you review vs. a Sapphire product got my blood boiling.

There are 420 comments right now and the xX2007xBLIVEXx me wants to leave it that way but I want to ask, and this is completely irrelevant to this video but I have a feeling it would interest you. Do you think bladeless fan designs like what Dyson offers for desk fans and whatnot will have a place in PC case design? I'm imagining a front panel with a rectangle bladeless fan all the way around it, sucking air right from the edges of the panel where its accessible AND getting 100% of the air offered at the edges as opposed to the centrally located fans trying to pull air, sometimes several inches away, into the case.

I'd love to see a 5700 XT with binned, OC'd, heavily cooled memory. Dreaming of HBM2, but the fact that the architecture design has compatibility for it doesn't mean it could be implemented on a non-silicon level, which means Navi could never run on HBM. Future RDNA cards - who knows, probably ones more compute-oriented. Either way, this kind of customization is nowhere to be found on today's market. And to think we used to have custom memory configs, custom dual-GPU solutions, etc, all from card vendors. The word card means less and less in this industry, it's all about the GPU these days.

Hey, I am new to PC building, and recently I built a gaming pc. I was wondering if 75-76 degrees Celsius is a good operating temperature during gaming for a Gigabyte gaming OC non pro RTX 2060 in a non Air-conditioned room. I live in Vietnam and it is pretty hot here, and I don t turn on the ac when I m gaming. I can t find answers online because they are so varied. Please help because I want to use this card for the next 2 years and I don t want to get into the hassle of RMA my card. My case is a Deepcool matrexx 55 fully populated with 120 mm fans, and it placed on my desk.

In order to get AMD to up their game, I vote to not do any reviews about any of their cards. They are totally irrelevant for anything except cheap workstations. No one gives an F about the performance of yesterday's specs. This coming from a guy who bought a 1k freesync monitor almost two years ago in anticipation of something good from AMD. I had to buy a damn Nvidia 2080 last year because there still isn't anything worth upgrading from a 295x2 still! They left all of their gaming customers hanging and I doubt I'll ever go back or buy anything AMD.

Evga has a 'what' on the Pin Fin heatsink, lol, that's a good one. I'm really sure the various round/oval/square/rectangular/teardrop shaped pins arranged in grid/staggard Pin Fin heatsink has existed back to around the time of the steam engine, maybe earlier on some wood stoves. Pin Fin heat exchangers are nothing new, the machining process to make them, that manufacturing process may be patented (there is more than one way to forge/cast or extrude&cut a pin-fin, lol. Great vid Steve and crew. B)

EVGA doesn't sell any AMD cards, ASRock doesn't sell any Nvidia-cards. Even if EVGA has a patent on those fins, wouldn't that allow ASRock to use it given that it doesn't compete with EVGA? I am curious about that. Also, should you be able to patent something as simple as fins for cooling memory? Maximizing surface area is not that complicated and there aren't many ways to do it. I don't have the answers, it would be interesting to look into it.

So how does it perform? It has higher clocks than any other 5700 XT. Would've been nice to know how it performs compared to a cheap 2070 Super for example. Also, it apparently has six display out ports. Could've been mentioned, since you are actually getting something extra for the extra money. I know you're sick and tired of reviewing 5700 XTs, but this seemed a bit on the lazier side compared to your other reviews.
