This isn't intended to be a fully structured guide and walkthrough with every single detail of overclocking, but after all our liquid nitrogen overclocking streams with Ryzen, we thought we'd show you how we do initial pre-testing and determination of a final 24/7 overclock for our AMD Ryzen CPUs. This includes some basics of voltages (vcore, VDDG, VSOC), Infinity Fabric, memory overclocking, and core multiplier settings. We're going to bring it up to at least 4.6GHz all-core on the AMD R5 3600XT (a lot of 3600 CPUs will do 4.3GHz to 4.4GHz, XT often does higher). We'll also bring down voltage as low as we can, explain stability testing applications, and show Tdie and temperature measurements. Test bench setup is below. Please note that MANY OF THESE PARTS are way overkill; that's because we use the same high-end parts for most our streams, with the goal being stability in the stream (we trust them/know they work well). It doesn't mean we

Is there a specific reason for having the water inntake on the topp of the rad? Usually in industry you have fluid inntake in the bottom of a heat exchanger to ensure that you have it filled with fluid at all times, wich leads to a better contact between the fluid and the walls of the exchanger, resulting in a better heat exchange.
Otherwise you would need some restriction in the loop after the exchanger ensuring overpressure to keep it liquid filled at all times.
I thought of this since you mentioned the trickling water sound in the rad, wich is a sign of it not being full at all times.

1:19:00 - to find out save Vcore, put everything to auto in bios (pbo on, max. out power limits) and run Prime95 test and check the max applied voltage in HWinfo. Every chip has a little bit different save voltage. The chips internal save features will apply the highest possible save voltage when you run 100% workload and that will let you know your chips save voltage. For daily use and overclock set this voltage for vcore in BIOS. On my 3700X it was 1.287v if i remember it correctly.

31:25 I bought one of these from you. Thank you. But I have to admit, if your supplier can make the flat kind?... like okay, I used to work at an Apple Store and the ESD mats they used were a smoother version... it was almost like a fake leather feeling to it. I really do prefer them. Makes it much easier to use at my desk with a mouse and such. Not all of us have multiple desks! lol!.. However, If you did a smooth run of your mats... I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Thank you =)

Hi, I watched your PBO video(s) in the past. I got tinkering with my 3950X, C8I, 32GB 3600C16 Bdie 3800C14. I maxed out PBO, scalar 4x-10x (still unsure), +200MHz, PPT/TDC/EDC 325/255/175 (175 slightly capping EDC but even 180 or leaving unlimited gives worse R20). I think a recap video on some of these things would be nice. My R20 is between 9.8-9.9k depending on ambient C. But it's all trial n error, some more guided version would be great!

Also, most stressful test I ve ever seen is LINPACK EXTREME. AVX-optimized more than Intel Burn Test, this truly burns your cpu (and stresses memory/cache a lot too). Temperatures show same numbers while wattage is shown as smaller, and it crashes with frequencies lower than Prime95 does. But it s the test you have to do for TOTAL stability.

1650 MAX OC vs 3080ti sounds like a video that really needs to happen.
we had to run the card so hard it melted its own memory chips off, but it was 200% faster than a normal 1650 up until it caught fire and didnt turn on again

That was fun! Thanks for joining, everyone! We weren't even really planning to do this, just sort of threw it together because it seemed like it'd been a long time since we had done a normal overclocking stream without LN2.

I expected the XT chips would be capable of running 2000MHz+ FCLK easily, as that would've justified their existence from an overclockers perspective. These things really are a waste of silicon. Super disappointing.
