Steve, I travelled from New Zealand to Brooklyn last week to look at Microcenter because of your videos. I went in there with high hopes, I asked for 256GB of Ram for my Threadripper. They said they Don't have it. I said but.. but... but... do you know Steve He sent me here! They looked confused. I said tech god Steve sent me here, and they just smiled politely and continued stocking the shelves with In-tell CPU's and Navidia Graphics cards that my Amda CPU would not enjoy working with. I even tried to leave my wife in there, hoping it would grant me a good discount on trade in, but all I ended up with was a printer and a rechargable air duster. You are inspiring many, you are amazing.

disppointing from msi they use 2 slot pci e plate for 50 series they use to be 3 slot pci e plate. and the shortest pcb try to due double side pcb like smart phone and super computer. at least do 20 double layer of pcb first then try to go short 600w on a 8 layer pcb and super short will create chaos in term of internal heat from the copper layer inside pcb and lead to major failure by desolder gpu chip from excess heat inside pcb. since most people dont know the heat goes bothway one is from top remove from heatsink and fan. other go into the pcb. thus small pcb need very robust and thick pcb layer to reduce the heat and improve connection pipeline.

Your critique of overhyping the new 5090 has a place as far as it comes to gaming but those 5090 can rapidly speed up professional applications like Blender, Octane, Clarisse & especially creating HQ readouts of MRI’s or performing complete medical & pharmaceutical studies performed using AI & not endangering participants of medical trials with testing experimental treatment options on them. Many life's can be safer or safeguarded by performing such research in the AI world using AI GPU’s in conjunction with AI CPU’s line the 64 core AMD Epyc or 2 of those combined with multiple 5090’s / 4090’s

I hate the way that computer parts are going. Everything feels so fake and seems more based on looks and marketing BS than just performance and quality. It's almost paralleling the way games went from reactive, interactive, destructible, deep worlds to new, shiny, graphical overload but shallow as a puddle worlds where a grenade can't even knock over a chair, but hey ray tracing and unreal 5.
I just really don't like the whole push towards AI fake frames and fake performance and RGB light. God I hate RGB so much.

5090 use so much power and it need massive cooler and 4 fan. and the load on the cable can only handle 600w and it push 575w it will melt the cable and lead to most of the failure. they should design a much rebust connect and better cable that can handle 1000w if nvidia dont care about power effiency and each gen just increase the power consumption instead of boost any performace without boost the power limit. is sad to see even 5080 use a ton of power 400w at least to reach 4090 performance.

cooler master custom 5090 is the best design have recessed sitting for connector prevent to bend it. insane 3 120mm fan the cooling and static pressure from this conbines with the most density pin from heat pipe this one is only one can properly cool the 5090. msi asus and gigabyte is a joke using last gen cooling solution on 50 series with 600w power draw it will reach 80 degree or more on those cardl. anything above 70 it will create risk of desolder the gpu chip from pcb.

and a failure lanuch of asus rtx 5090 with 4 slot pci e card and gave to a 2 slot pci e slot plate again it will kill the card with that much weight. and still the short pcb. what is the point of the 3rd and 4th fan if it card not full lenght pcb with cut hole like evga. and still the side mount connect not the back mount with the fat gpu it will not fix most case since is so much wider this time

Have gpu companies been feeding their product owners and marketing teams special powders... why is everything mythical creatures, black holes, mysteries of the universe, and military, automotive grade materials and coolants... I think they are all just asking chatgpt to write marketing copy to sell a gpu.... 'make it futuristic, cool, sciency, and magicky, with special made up names'

While this is all funny because you can simply buy a very well made card directly from nVidia, outside of the US the partner models are the only option. That changes the funny stuff into a very sad realisation that you just have to pick one of the clowns and hope the one you picked is the least funny.

Love the Gen X-esque hardcore sarcasm hitting us smack in the face consistently throughout this video. Seriously, HILARIOUS (both words in the same sentence, intentionally) and much appreciated. Definitely the most entertaining video I've seen from Gamers Nexus, ever. Keep it up!

Military grade..
Bahahahahaha that's literally the worst stuff. Government takes the lowest bid, the lower the bid, the cheaper it is.
Automotive grade coolant Thats as cheap as it gets. That stuff cost 13 bucks for a couple gallons.
What is wrong with these marketing teams

All these cards are a complete waste of money, I feel like the true innovation outside all these silly buzz words is to make these cards half the size, half the power input and at half the price because these cards are high maintenance these days if you pay the electric bill.

Just want to say for the Thermaltake Tower 600, be aware of your GPU's cooling. I have a Tower 300, which is just less thicc, but the I/O up GPU mount doesn't work well with some condensing cooler GPUs, I see temps 20c compared to when I lay it flat.

I have to say that the marketing these days for PC components is getting totally ridiculous. Anyone would think your purchasing a nuclear fusion reactor.. oh and er..disappointed not to see a new gen of bionic shark fans.. what will I do now..

I still rocking my gt73evr7rf with a gtx1080 card. Every games seems to run fine with up to 60 fps. What is the point of upgrading to the best gpu For rtx Some games makes all these epic gpu into a potato anyways depends on the settings.

A funny way to say GIGABYTE would be Jiggabyte (which would be a reference to Doc in Back to the Future saying Jigawatts instead of Gigawatts).
This is to add to the funny Nuhvidia and Uhmd pronounciation of the Nvidia & AMD brands.

i like how they make a big deal about these cards and a lot of them almost have the same specs as 4090 or the 4000 series heck i think even some of the 3080 and 3090 are still amazing cards. they just want you to spent more cash.

The power usage will be my main concern. I have my 4090 tuned down to 40-60% power in PrecisionX most of the time. It’s a space heater and uses a lot of power. Even in cold winter I sometimes have to crack my window open

With the 5090 being so power hungry, I'd love to see how it performs running with a lower power budget: Does efficiency improve Is noise more tolerable How does it compare at the 450w of the 4090
