This deliver all the power through the MB thing seems to be bad idea imo.
First off I don't get the obsession with no cables, who cares its in a box on the floor that isn't publicly displayed and having access to cables when I swap out a component is usefull, frequently.
Secondly if your power delivery solution (cable) needs replacing its easy to do so but when a MB fails because its trying to deliever 600w to a gpu plus 200w to a cpu (or whatever) and physics is a thing its going to be a pain in the backside.
Imagine buying a MB for your nice shinny 4090 at 450w and assuming you won't need a new MB to get the 5090 but finding out your MB is 125w short of not being on fire. or on fire because of a short perhaps.
Seems great for companies looking to sell more motherboards for more money more frequently but bad for anyone buying these products. Still style over sensible is often a winner for mega corporations as someones ideal of asthetics will often drive them to purchases that are in fact worse for them and be totally happy to pay way more for them. Apple exists for example

Not gonna lie, I find it kind of weird that you are almost double standard when it comes to LTT versus 7-9 Figure Corporations. Everytime you talk about companies like ASUS, it's always how they are screwing over their customers. But when it comes to LTT you seem to go after them because Like I read the entire response, and everything you have against them is because they aren't advocating for bad products enough Nothing to do with bad products from the LTT store, nothing about pulling a Mr. Beast with those on the floor upgrades they did at CES, nothing about how X Y Z, just that they aren't as harsh on the companies as you all are
Honestly, if they aren't scamming you or their customers, stop feeding the trolls

reply

Steve, I read through your response and I think it is a little deflective. You didn't address the three most important issues properly.
Honey:
You didn't mention honey at all.
Right to reply:
You proved there was no special treatment, yet you didn't address the ethical or rather journalistic issues regarding your stance on right to reply. The issue with right to reply was that you didn't get all the facts, which LTT could have provided if you had asked them, which brings me to the third point.
Billit Labs:
No mention of this issue.

As someone who has Asperger's syndrome, which is classified as a form of autism, if linus made that comment to you, i am really truly sorry. I have been relentlessly bullied for being autistic and i truly understand how much that hurts. You are not alone in being different and people will target you for not conforming to the status quo. I personally resonate with you and how you communicate, seeing issues as black and white. Much love and kudos for not cutting him off then and there.

The evidence provided is pretty scant. I watched the alleged plagiarized video in question. Are there some of the same talking points Yes, of course. Is it clearly plagiarized Not at all. You are REALLLY reaching here. Guy has a podcast where he had spoken for thousands of hours over the past 10 years entirely informally and casually, and you're really so b-tthrt that you're gonna resort to digging up what Linus said on WAN show
Grow up dude. Like, actually.

Just finished reading the receipts and man, Linus just crying and blaming everyone else for his mistakes. And his whining that he didn't have chance to respond... like bro his response on ltt forum made everything clear that he would try to gaslight everyone. Also 100% agree with recent Louis Rossman comunity post about narcissists where everyone knew who he was talking about.

I came to GN years ago looking for a good office chair (please do an updated video soon) and I've learned so much over the years. I work overnight shift by myself so I listen to a lot of videos and its always good when GN posts something. I like that its both hardware and journalism, which the ladder is hard to genuinely find nowadays. Keep doing your thing!

Poor, nipicky response to LMG that ignores the serious concerns they brought up: conflict of interest, not following journalistic best practice, major, out of context misquote of Linus in the Honey video. LMG did admit wrongdoing, mistakes and need for improvement, and seemingly has been taking steps. You on the other hand - ego can't handle it.

Given gamers nexus is calling put inaccuracies with linus media group and luke is head of that dep makes 100% sense, i can tell that dude has never inspired any confidence, he is like the dude on wolf of wallstreet that snitched our jordan belfort on the phone, and linus instead of being like a bro he does a ride or die lol

When the drama started in the last video it honestly felt like bait.
The write up on the GN website is well formulated and direct.
The irony of a small community post to address this situation, in relation to LTTs small community post about honey, is not lost on me.
Big that's not a knife vibes.

I like the investigative stuff, but it's not the main draw for me. I like the hardware reviews even though when talking prices it doesn't really translates to my country, but it's good to compare perfomances and this type of review helped me a lot in deciding what parts to buy for my, and my family's PCs.

I'm guessing that by the time this was shot and edited, news about AMD's March release window for the 9070 / XT hadn't been announced yet Hoping you cover that soon as pictures have been circulating of various oversees vendors having them in stock and ready to be sold for some time now.

Love the Antec C8 with fans. I too have fond memories of the old Antec cases. Thanks for your efforts in consumer protection. I too want you to let us know about such but stick to hardware and gamers. Thanks so much for your years of content that has become a large part of my life. :)

what are you talking about.
We should not change how we speed just because a rich man cannot give his company a useful name.
Keep calling twitter for twitter. And X is still the universal letter denoted as a placeholder for some in a function etc. f(x)

I thought you guys were already the cream of the crop in the hardware/reporting scene, but how you're discussing the Split here, your awareness of the dynamics of the audience, and how you're handling it just raises my esteem for you all even more. Good job GN

If you're going to do the I vesrigatuins you need to make sure you're doing it fairly. Transparently. Your opinion, that you don't feel obligated to get an opposing sides story is just icky. You're hiding something. Be transparent. You haven't been lately.
reply

I support GN in their decision to split the content, but I dont think it was necessary. Similarly to other comments I have seen, I am worried that this might negatively effect the reach of the CA content. I guess we will have to work double time to share it!
reply

On one hand, I understand wanting to try and balance things and keep from creating drama.
On the other hand, I feel like the post on your website would've been a good video even if just for the additional eyes it would reach to present your side.

reply

So you are not gonna address all the concerns about the long work weeks at GN You are bashing Linus for a lot of stuff that you do as well and it is time to look at your own company. You are being really petty right now and its getting sad.
reply

I am Team GN for the Total Package; I am still pissed that CaseLabs was forced to close shop due to IP theft and their fiscal inability to have their say in court. I can't believe my Mercury S5 case is 12 years old, housing my 3rd PC.
