GPU factory I know its not as new and cool as handhelds if you said what handheld company it was would give me a lot more interest in them or not. nintendo... no I don't care. steam deck. id find that interesting all other companies... are kinda who cares other than the new xbox aliy. i find handhelds are just a smaller low power, laptop, that's controller only or almost only. i only play key/mouse so I don't care about consoles or controllers/handhelds and there a one and done product once its out of date and old its already under powered headwear today and no upgrade or repurpose options for handhelds in the future
GPUs are old and boring but Id love to see how the 50 series supply is going and the power connector issues from a board partner ... if they have the balls to say anything... also GPUs are cutting edge stuff and in 10 years a 5090 if its not fryed it will work for a use case even if its way out of date it will work for something and cost very little for budget gamers in 10 or so years I just got a 3090 back 5 years I thought I would never have this god like GPU.. its not the best any more but its better than anything my friends have.

Im sad because of freadom of people until even my name is marked cant buy shirts wow. This is what I got because of buying stuff from GN. We received one of the shipments back to our location, and a reason was provided that states that your name matches a database of restricted entities. In other words, customs will not allow us to export to you specifically. This is not something we have ever encountered before, and from our research, could be a case of a mistaken identity if you share the name with someone. Regardless of the reason, customs has made it clear that they will not allow any packages to reach you. Because of that, unfortunately we cannot accept any future orders from you, not because we don't want your business, but because they appear to be guaranteed to fail to deliver. We are extremely sorry for this inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding. We value your support very much, and greatly appreciate the order you placed with us. I wish we had a better explanation for you but unfortunately the label shown below is the full extent of the information provided to us: eyes-purple-crying

GN: I skip all NGreedia news.
Well Considering the Ryzen 7 9800X3D HT is 30% of a Core, total real Cores is 20.8, normalizing to 20C=3216, so pretty much same as the NGreedia CPU, not bad, not remarkable in anyway. But do those NGreedia 20 Cores have Independent FPUs
XBoxROGx-x: Buy our $H17, is ASUS ROG approved... desperation, is never good PR
There's absolutely no reason to switch to Win11, exept Micro$H17 made it so, stopping Win10 development; I can't want to get rid of Windows and switch to Linux, but the Apps...
Alienware, once upon a time there was this awesome computers that also look Awesome; but now they're the crapppiest PC you can buy and they cos like 4x the best PC you can assemble yourself; they have become a $ grabbing Corp, DO NOT BUY their-ware.
Hey USAGov KolibriOS is a tiny yet incredibly powerful and fast operating system.

Nvidia, it makes sense they don't want dedicated mobile/laptop. Integrated graphics. Intel fully announced were moving full into its own graphics (on mobile platforms).
Did you mean mixing away from aib that may include dedicated Nvidia graphics
they know the truth, there's no longer going to be AIBs adding in separate CPU and GPU in Mobile. We can clearly see this is happening.
ARM/ Nvidia GPU hybrid for Nvidia. It's the future(catching up with AMD and Intel on central solutions).
Nvidia is not going to be wanting to produce a dedicated version of laptops for GPU(total processing solution). They're going to be producing also, an APU, will windows support (95 )support it Yes. Awesome video, and hope to hear more news on Nvidia finally going after sole laptop and desktop solutions(mobile at first).

Windows 95 and floppys are not fundamentally bad things. The problem is that you don't get floppy-discs anymore, but it shouldn't be a problem to produce some if you really want it. Windows 95 in a system not connectet to the internet, which critical systems shouldn't be anyway, why not The company I work has still Win 3.11 in daily use. Some systems we use do not even have graphical user interface. They are fundamentally from the seventies not speaking of the systems I operate which are pre-microprocessor era. They just work. Something modern systems miss out on. Good luck FAA. It won't get easier nor cheaper. However, one doesn't get young folk to work on the old command line interfaces and those who love them are at least approaching the fifties, most are more around sixty years old. It becomes a problem.

ifixit review scores are designed to prop up companies who give money to ifixit. They have nothing to do with repairability.
They gave an iPhone that requires you to give Apple your serial number and disables features such as auto brightness if a third party part is detected a higher score than a Samsung phone because Apple spoke highly of ifixit.
The Steam Deck was given a 7/10 score when it also has soldiered memory and USB ports, but Valve lets ifixit take a cut of parts sales so ifixit gave the Steam Deck a higher score.
I'm disappointed that GN talks about ifixit scores as if they are reliable instead of acknowledging that ifixit scores are designed to deliberately mislead consumers to bring profits to ifixit.

I think it's a mistake for Microsoft to remove the Desktop Mode from the Xbox handheld OS; I just think Sony will do it better in the end, and Microsoft is missing the opportunity to differentiate themselves in the space --- they will continue to lose the PC gamers that need to do just a little bit more than gaming on their device to Steam OS.
However, if Microsoft can deliver a truly streamlined and optimized experience on the Xbox OS that is noticeably improved and truly revolutionary, and if they can deliver it to Desktop systems as well, then maybe they will have a winner on their hands to keep their customers on their sinking ship - the USS Windows!

it's kinda wild to see how microsoft is shitting itself over desktop linux while it's still an overwhelmingly minor fraction of the desktop market and the average user is existentially terrified of anything that involves monospace fonts. just how terrible does your product have to be that the mere existence of a viable alternative becomes a serious threat
on a side note, microsoft and asus also seem to have succeeded in making LSD a viable alternative to video games. after all, with that much ai, you might as well cut out the middle man and do the hallucinating yourself.

Always love to see the factory tours! I think the handheld would be very interesting to see!
Also, as someone who's currently in the hiring process to get into ATC, it's very cool to see media covering it, especially since it is very old hardware. Great tie-in with the FLP-02, I do actually want to use that case for my server lol
I bought an autographed set of the dice when you first announced them and Snowflake has yet to let me down! Would it be possible to buy a handful of the minis and an extra foil card I misplaced mine.

Back in the 90's Matrox was the go-to supplier for multi-display video cards. I worked for a company that sold Computer Aided Dispatching software for police/fire/ambulance services; one display would be used for a map, the other for dispatching data. I'm surprised that Matrox is still around since most video cards come with multi-display as pretty much basic functionality now. Matrox was always known for specialized multi-display video card functionality, so a video wall sounds right up their alley.

Microsoft: so we've noticed that Valve has released a successful, fully functional, pocket computer, that plays games really well... so what if we released something that did at most one of those things, with the same UI issues of Windows 8, but made sure it has all the spyware of Windows 11 And just to be sure this is gonna be a slam dunk, we're gonna add pointless AI garbage and ASUS's warranty issues on top! What could go wrong

It's Matrox May-trocks I was the lead tech of one of a hand full of integrators the last time the FAA updated systems in their flight towers and control centers. We sent out some crazy 16 display workstations using the latest Matrox cards, 4 per system to be exact, available back in early 2000. Yes, they went out with floppy disk drives. Every single unit. Even the servers we built. The datacenter terminal even had a floppy disk.

I would rather the gaming handheld factory because we have yet to see that. But I am also becoming less interested in the factory tours (aside from watching robots as B roll). What I most enjoyed were the conversations with the people who made the product explaining the considerations, trials and tribulations (see AMD X3D discussion). Or with hyte when they showed the prototypes and explained the outcomes/journey.

Removing Steam and Chrome from my current memory usage... Windows 11 Home everything else running is using 1GB of RAM. I've never found Windows to use too much memory for anything so I am curious, what do you consider too much What is the right amount of memory Is it 512mb 64kb What is your realistic expectation of the amount of memory a modern OS should use at any moment in time

My vote is handheld factory since serious handhelds is kind of a new market and video cards are likely not too different than the previous RAM and cooling videos. You can only see so many pick and place machines and reflow ovens before you're like, Oh it's all done like this. At least handhelds will provide some interesting stuff with housings, joysticks etc.

Would you consider releasing documentaries in parts instead of in one 4 hour long video It's simple psychology - if I see hour long video once a week I'm much more likely to watch it than if I see 4 hour long one because there's other videos and you know... real life to take care of too. Then my reaction is simply hell nah.

it's such a hard choice... on the one hand, I'm not interested in handheld gaming, but on the other hand I have a pretty good idea of how video cards are made given it's essentially pcb heatisnk shroud. I think for the sake of like- actually NEW and exciting information, I gotta say handheld factory tour would be amazing

GPU factory sounds boring in the current timeline. Maybe Intel in the future. Nivida controlling every aspect of design is boring. Seeing a company like EVGA in the past, creating unique cards would be interesting. So maybe in the near future with Intel, we might see GPUs with interesting processes.
