Now TSMC buying ARM is a much better sounding deal than NVidia. TSMC are basically the only ones churning out ARM processors (not sure if GlobalFoundries makes them or not, but I doubt they re in a position to make the purchase) so it would make sense for ARM to wind up in the hands of the company actually manufacturing the silicon. I hope the deal works out for TSMC, because NVidia could afford to just kill it off if they want, and their price gouging could seriously disrupt the market for low price hobbyist CPUs. Foxconn doesn t bode well either, because the Chinese government would be part owners at that point. Samsung feels as problematic as Apple buying ARM, so the only neutral option that works with everyone who makes or uses ARM based CPUs is TSMC that said, any other investment firm that isn t directly involved in the tech industry or the British government bringing ARM home would be equally good outcomes.

Everyone talking about nvidia release dates when what we should be doing is speaking up against their rip off prices. They are well overcharged ng on gpu prices for turing and now l beleive they will push many towards consoles. I will definitely buy amd; n future if they compete with similar gpus but are cheaper as nvidia now is treating us like idiots. I got a 2080 super as sold 1070 for a 2070 then sold that for a 2080 super so only cost me half..so that keeps price down for me as long as l can keep getting 50% flback for old cards..but..if l was a new customer with nowt to sell l would never be spending 600 plus on just a gpu. Nvidia has grown to big in gpu area and feel they can overcharge and get away with it. Lets hope amd changes that.

The British government couldn't care less about ARM, or foreign ownership of any'British' company. That's why no successful British company stays British for very long, Cadbury, Dyson, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Land Rover, Harrods even Marmite is in foreign hands now for gods sake, same with any piece of valuable real estate in London, all in middle eastern, Chinese or Russian hands, so the chances of her majesty's government providing any help to ARM or slim to none.

I hope AMD doesn t try and raise their own prices now that they seem to be leading in CPU s. They need to take lessons from intel and keep their prices low while giving great preference. Not charging 2,000 for a good CPU would be great, and Intel was charging 2,000 for CPU s a few years ago before AMD took over as the lead CPU provider.

I love this news video already for the thumbnail teasing Steve doing a tech race against Jay... not mentioning its going on over at LTT and from there, we go to Igor from IgorsLab and continue with other German news.
Also guys, you better take Mindfac serious, they are quite accurate with prices and dates.

That mindfactory data on RMAs certainly falls into the category of 'interesting but useless'. There are too many unaccounted for variables and disparate representations for someone to solidly conclude anything from that data, other than 'more people buy nvidia than buy amd',

I bought my 2070 Super yesterday on Newegg for the cheap before prices shoot up! Hehe luckily I just happened to be building a new PC since I sold my old one 8 months ago bc I'm dumb but my new one will be %200 faster! AMD should stop making GPU's and stick to CPU's lol!

I would not be surprised if intel got hacked, but claimed someone with access leaked the information. Intel hasn t been very lucky recently and they wouldn t want to announce they got hacked so they would come up with a leak story to cover up the hack .

Hey guys can I ask you an honest question. Is the 10900k a good cpu if I am dedicated to 240fps 240hz and plan to get a big Navi or 3080ti to try to go for 360fps for a 360hz monitor soon? Love AMD though but really need the fps. Any alternatives?
