The complete disassembly was absolutely the best approach. Knowing sabotage was the rule, not the exception then of course it would be faster to build a computer from scratch ...unless you're the Verge. (From experience, software developers occasionally get to debug or maintain programs that are so poorly written, it would be better to toss them out and start over, but are seldom given the go ahead to do so. :)

resetting bios is troubleshooting 101 #1. loved the stream, it was super cool to watch... poor Jay really got screwed over by the NVME being stuck to the heatsink and Linus's comment about you getting close to the sun with the OC crash... while Jay went straight for the sun with no thermalpaste and running super hot but still completing the benches :D so you had a great well deserved win, congratulations

Watched the stream. Liked the idea. It was an interesting challenge.
However, listening to you and Linus constantly throwing a not-so-subtle shade at each other left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
Always thought you two to be utmost professionals and generally people who are above jealousy and hypocrisy. I'm really disappointed by your behaviour.

GamersNexus: you mentioned Asus software being more or less malware and indeed, I has to uninstall a few of them due to AV and VAC seeing them as malware/cheats.
Is there a 3rd party software that can take over the role of these ASUS software that we can trust? RGB, Fan config and ofcourse temps and clocks.

Excellent! I had so much fun watching the showdown, and you learn SO much watching this! The EVGA/ Kingpin OC contest was great but LONG! This one was just as exciting, if not more, and 2 hours is something I can have ALL my friends, even non-techies check out!

Yeah that load optimised defaults was probably your best move. I swear jay wasted 30 minutes trying to get the network working when it was disabled in bios. doing that which gave you the time to do an open bench and find those other issues easier

it was the best stream on LTT that i have watched, the humour and banter between you all is wonderful, i loved that Jay was very classy in defeat and matched the donation. Very entertaining and informative too. Great competation

This live stream was honestly an amazing idea. I'm keen to see more things like this; a lot of people were suggesting that Linus and Austin should switch places with Steve and Jay... Hmmmmmm good idea I think.
