The only way I got it to PAIR was to get the FIRETV APP and I used this to navigate thru the GEARlooking icon on the FS Main Home page, scroll down to Controllers & Bluetooth devices It only worked with my FIRETV APP via my iOS phone. The app is FREE! It works on all my 6 of my FS! Their are times when new batteries or not it glitches (FS remotes) and this app is very handy!

Those steps didn't work for me. But a message popped up on my t.v. saying that no remote was detected and to try the home button for 10 secs, get new batteries or Press the menu, back and power buttons simultaneously for 10 secs to reset. The latter worked for me instantly . Hey could have been a combination of everything because I was trying everything

My remote does not work. I have the fire stick plugged into a DENON unit, and it works with the TV to turn on the TV and get half YOU TUBes features. Cannot use the home button thus no way to get to FREEZEE, Paramount Plus etc. I have a hme theatre thats why its plugged into the DENON. Help!!!

Thanks much 4 th step worked for me , I thought for sure I would have to replace it and still may, but for now Im good. For the last 2 days have been trying all the suggested steps, but yours is the one ,,, YOU ARE THE MAN. thanks again.

Your a genius. The one where you are holding all 3 buttons and taking the batteries out worked. I lefted my usb stick on. I really was about to give up and ready to give Amazon a ear full.

I have the newest Amazon 4k Fire Stick and the power button on the remote doesn't shut the stick off, however I can shut it down using the Alexa button. How can I get the power button to work

Mine is a Toshiba fire tv and my remote can turn my tv on and off and select the language and the volume works but it won't pair like at all
