Degoogling your phone only to use spyware like Ring, banking apps, home automation, etc is quite odd.
I find it funny how people always complain about location-based apps, because I never use any of them! Granted, I bike around town and ride the bus, not going to many places I don't know. But when I do, I just look at the map - I don't use live directions.
Simplify your life - call a cab, pick up food at the actual restaurant, look at a map before you go, and go to the goddamn door yourself :D

MicroG will allow for almost all android apps to work without Google services, the only apps I've found to not work are obviously Google apps, and as for email, Spark is a really good email client and has far less trackers than outlook. Also, Pixel, OnePlus and Xiaomi phones are some of the best to easily modify

There are apps that have no trackers in Play (Aurora), as listed by Aurora. Not many, but they exist. FX file explorer, Total Commander, Titanium Backup, Total Launcher, Anysoft Keyboard, Simple keyboard, just to name the ones I have installed and handy.

Just want to clarify. Your saying that if you download something from the aurora store, the google trackers will be rendered useless. But the other trackers can still track you? It would have to be in app stuff right? Or cross app as well?

My phone is still working fine.. but because of Google's greed, some of my apps are now buggy and outdated.
This is because my phone is not supported for Android update to 10 or 11.
I'll definitely make a good project out of this -

What is a good weather app? I currently use My Radar and Radarscope, this is the one thing that is holding me back from De-Googling my phone, I understand weather apps are some of the worst offenders on tracking any suggestions?

Just checked in Aurora store, Facebook has no tracker and What's app has only one tracker, how do they make profit without trackers nowadays? Does it mean those are more dangerous apps? BTW your mic sounds good.

You mentioned some of the trackers in Spotify (like fb share) -don't exist- while others do.
Is there a way you know that, or a way we can test that if we want to download from aurora?

4:00 does this mean Facebook and Google trackers are denied access or do they still spy? Is their activity voided since there is no Google and Facebook account to link to?
