I've been interested and involved in Linux for so long and I STILL am in shock that I can just load up Steam and play on Linux when we used to have to apply all these hacks to maybe get it to run. So much effort :). I am so grateful for those who continue to make this happen including Valve, Wine, etc.
Annndddd EAC. Which so many games rely on. Man I'm so excited.
Exciting times! At least in my opinion :)

everything happening right now for linux seems almost too good to be true.
But, even though existing games only have to -flick a few switches- / -check a few boxes- i think there is more behind it, cause here we are 10 days later and i haven't heard of a single game that has activated this feature yet.
but none the less, it is amazing to see so many big companies investing in gaming on linux

I have had linux on a pc for a while. however, like a lot of people, I dual boot or in some other cases people have separate pcs. I pretty much only play warzone aside from a few other games that I have and really wish I could just have it on linux. You stated in your video you may try to get this to work. with that said, I hear by am sending you a challenge to make this happen!

I think anticheat system can be done system wise.
File antitampering service
Encrypted RAM and readonly RAM
DRM/HDCP for not copying the screen and block computer Vision based cheats.
And call It by the brand directX anticheat on Windows or something like that.
And on Linux just implement the same set of features.

except it's not really linux gaming its still windows gaming, linux gaming would be something like sony did with playstation and orbis custom os and firmware with tons of developers on board this device while great should really ship out of the box with a lean os and fw optimized for gaming only

after anticheat is partly fixed in the future, the next big problem are videos. in many games you can't see any ingame videos because in windows the games use windows resources for this. and this can't be fixed easy. and not every user has the knowlage to install a custom proton version.

I still can't get eac to work with ghost recon wildlands
a buddy of mine got it working on arch for quite some time now - but what I read is it's up to ubisoft to implement it ... which ubi wont as even breakpoint is already dead
any help?

I watched you all the time on Linux Gaming. Picked up a couple tricks from you but I am a linux guy and been playing on it for awhile. I play Conan as well, but you can play it but only if a battle-eye isn't enabled. That kind of thing.
