I'm done with Google Photos. I removed the app from my phone and I'm currently archiving my account and moving away from Google. This was the last straw. I've been trying to find a way to delete all my Google photos for several years and there is no way to do it. Possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen in any software. After too many confusing issues with the sync from my phone to Google, and Photos deleting pictures from my phone AFTER I moved them to a non-synced folder and deleted the pictures on my desktop, in addition to many other issues, only to find out I can't even delete all my pictures at once without scrolling through tens of thousands of pictures manually. The BEST option is to select the first picture on desktop and scroll down and do a shift-select on another picture to select all pictures in between and delete. That doesn't work if you scroll too many times, it will deselect the first picture. So your only option is to use the shift-select routine hundreds of times. Absolutely ridiculous.

TOTAL SHIT!! Now i have, google 1, google photo, google drive, my files, gallery, CDMI, haha And all of these features/apps have their own trashes. So now im flipping thru all of these different apps with different garbage features tryina find one picture to edit, and delete all the other versions of that edited photo. hahah Who came up with this shit!? All you tech people need to stop forcing ur god damn horse crap on us..

So I had the same issue with the photos being removed from my iPhone ( iCloud ) because I gave google permission to sync with my iPhone photos, both apps on my iPhone were able to communicate with each other. Simple fix was just to sever that by deleting my google photos app from my iphone and deleting the photos from google photos on my desktop (pc/Mac) without affecting my iCloud photos.

Google was my favourite for everything, including Google Photos. Not anymore. Their services were never really free as we are paying by giving them our privacy for their ad revenue. Now they want to double dip and make us pay. I'm taking my photos away today, and they just make it hard to download them and delete - Google is not to be trusted anymore.

Guys i found a new way:
Go to the settings>manage storage> there you can delete photos>select the photos you want do delete and a -select all- button will pop up at the upper right corner then you can move it to trash then delete it there.

If I delete the app itself on my iPhone will I lose all of my photos? I have problems ever since the latest Google photos update. I open the app the entire app freezes and I can-t scroll or click on anything and I wait for it to load it crashes later on.

When I want to use one of my photo that I took on my phone as wallpaper Google says give Google photo access to your account does that mean that google has access to your photos if you agree?

I have a doubt....does deleting these photos also delete it from backup photos??....if not, then how to delete the photos which are alredy backed up...if anyone knows plz tell me!

Can I remove photos without it deleting them off my phone though? Google photos keeps saving all my pictures and just wastes a lot of space and I want it to stop doing that
