Most linux users are just tryhard nerd retards. In good old days we didnt see these wanks cause even intalling linux or unix you needed some brain but after graphical installers came out even these failing braggers got chance to be proud and loud.
Dont get me wrong, my first linux install took me days and days back in 1995...
But now i meet -powerusers- within linux who dont even know basic commandline commands... For them linux is pointless, its just for bragging and fake feeling how youre somewhat special because you dont use windows. -
Aand yet most of you linux users fail in so many levels anyway, most linux soyboi hardcock tryhards even have that windows installed anyway because gaming-
And in most cases just because they are too lazy and dumb to actually seek info or actually learn how to run
those games under linux, hahahaha.
Yes, what i mostly see in linux users is lame semi nerd, distrohopping aas soon as something new comes out(=read someone packaged -new- ubuntu variant with own theme and maybe own repo in best case for those depencies which anyway kill your install in next upgrade)

I know it feels good to use something you think is better than other products out there, there is nothing wrong with that, but the main reason people say linux people are -elitist- is because some of these people just treat people in and out of the linux os like crap. It doesn't matter how right you are, and it doesn't matter about how much more superior you are to these people (even if you really are superior using your os), you don't have the right to be snarky and treat people like crap just because they like apple or windows, or because they don't know much about linux or computers. not a majority of the linux community acts like this though, and people who assume this need to rethink their point a bit, but some of the people who do attack people over their opinions and start os wars need to seriously chill. And this applies to windows and apple elitist too, i'm not leaving them out of this either.

Your attitude is why the so-called Linux community is so toxic to newcomers. I am a long time Linux user and enthusiast and back about 15 years ago Linux community was so great. Now it-s nothing but fake Linux elitists soy boys and distro cult wars.
If Linux can ever take on Mac or windows for the desktop all that shit needs to stop and the community needs to work together for a common goal and produce a a viable product instead of a bunch of new distros to why are slightly different but bring nothing new to the table. Why do you think big software companies don-t went to even waste their time bringing their software to Linux, iE adobe ect? Because it-s a waste of time because Ali is is so fragmented, just like android. I-ll stick with my Mac.

lets asume most linux professionels for server releated tasks are good as windows server professionels - so level is the same. We have a situation where me as a windows professionel find linux professionels are too busy not to do documentations and have their issues sharing their knowlegde.
Linux is in many ways great, i use it my self for some tasks - but as the video points out there is a lack of people with linux knowlegde - and thats a problem when things go wrong, whos there to fix it considering there might not be any documentation or the person who set the things up is no longer there?

I think most of the reasons you mentioned are also some of the main reasons that has been stopping Linux from taking off as a home user operating system. That will only happen when the system and the community stop being elitist. That overly passionate attitude makes people in the Linux community take criticism to a very personal level, it creates some sort of cult around it, and I think that has done no good to the project in getting average users.

back then when i was a windows user the only thing i know about computing is double click'in a file to open nor execute it -
after i switched to linux, somehow i know how the things work, i even managed to learn multiple Programming Language eventho i ain't even from tech backgrounds .
compared to my fellows politician im pretty sure im not as illiterate as 'em -

point #2, big deal. 99% of computer users can get along fine without knowing any of that. I have a degree in computer science and when I use my home computer, I don't care about package managers, compositors, window managers, etc. Does it do the job for me. Yes. can I Google a problem, understand it and fix it, yes. I use both Windows and Linux and no, Linux didn't change my life, it just extended that of an old laptop.

Sorry, but being -the 2%- doesn't mean you are elite. Bottom 2% of anything is also -the 2%-. Also, how does knowing bunch of Linux terms make you elite? Why would people who don't use Linux need those term - they would be completely useless to them. I'm sure butchers know a lot of technical term related to meat and animal carcasses that non-butchers don't use - this does not make them an elite.

based on my experience with trying to get into Linux, sorry but most of you guys are mean! II got attacked, bashed, and banned just because I was trying to get help.... no one is elite, no one is above anyone. apple, windows, Linux we are just different for everyone. but honestly I've been with mac and win since 2012, and never were attacked and called names like I have trying to get to Linux side!
