I Needed A Bigger Audio Server Rack DistroTube When I decided to start purchasing audio equipment, I bought a 12U server rack. I filled up that 12U rack as soon as a I bought it. So I wanted to buy more audio equipment but I needed a bigger rack. So I pulled out the credit card, opened up Amazon in my web browser, and I went shopping! Oooh... Haven't even played this video yet but I'm looking forward to it. Just ordered a drum set last night. I don't play drums. Setting up a -playground- for musicians. If you build it, they will come... jam the hell out! EDIT: LOL, you want more stuff too! I went on a tear once and set up a rack unit to house all my guitar effects to be controlled afar. I went with a 6u rack, in a portable heavy duty enclosure. As I type this you are revealing your purchases. Guitar players like sonic exciters. Some of them use them as an always on -secret sauce.- I think they act like parametric eq's, targeting specific frequencies and boosting them. Unlike a graphic eq that just boosts or cuts a swath/span of frequencies. You're rack is looking good! Ummmm... wait a second. That sounded weird.

Fun video - I went rhough something similar recently but for homelab not audio. :) Q: why go with a dedicated rack component rather than a VST plugin? You love to tweak and tune so I thought digital audio would be up your alley. No right answer here, but I have gone down the software path rather than dedicated hardware. Lots of challenges and struggles down that path for sure. Recently been learning how to use FabFilter's Pro-Q 3 - Equalizer Plug-In - 24 band para eq :D

Hi, I would recommend a 1u clean power supply unit to protect your gear from power spikes - especially your monitors.
Also, check your compressor settings - it got way more agressive after you re-rigged your gear.

DT, that is a nice.... you know something that starts with an r and rhymes with wack. Also wondering if you ever thought about doing any firearms videos?

Hey DT, I've had problems installing Nvidia/Intel Prime drivers that automatically switch when needed can you please do a guide to how to do this. Thanks

Man, I want to get into audio equipment one of these days. But it will cost money and take space, so not yet. My audio sucks and has always sucked.

You might as well get two while their cheap because you WILL fill them. Unless your hearing starts to go. Don't ask me how I know this.
