Thank you for this video and all of the other content you post. You are my -go to- when I have a question related to an MS product. A question from this video ... I tested this from my corporate Outlook account by sending a text to my boss. She received two copies of the same text. One looked great. It looked like a standard text. The other version is broken into sections. The messages starts with -1 of 8- followed by a portion of the text then, -2 of 8- and some text, and then -3 of 8-, etc. until the end of the text. 1) Why did two versions go out? 2) Why was the second one broken into sections, and 3) How to eliminate the second version?

Thanks for this. Is there an option to send a group text message using outlook and have their First names be personalized. For Ex: -Hey Carl, I'm sending this text sample; Hey Kevin, I'm sending this text sample; Hey Cookie Monster, I'm sending this text sample.- Something like that and I hope you get what I mean.
Also if this also works when sending emails? Thanks a lot

Sadly this has to be enabled by the carrier. Vodafone UK, for example, does not allow this. Not listed on any of the lists I can find, and when I try to SMS an email address, this fails. Great feature for those on carriers where it works, though. I'm sure email and SMS will, over time, be able to totally inter-operate by default in a few years :)

Years ago this would be useful bc email apps on mobile devices sucked.
Nowadays, just configure the desired email account. Plus, who the heck knows who has what carrier?
If a company doesn-t allow email accounts most likely care about your health outside of work. If you are that important to be available 24/7, there are easier ways.

Kevin is this work only Microsoft outlook? I have 2 question for you.
1. if recipient reply back I'm not getting reply test. Is this one way text MSGing?
2. Can we use these email (phone-number-carrier-email) for any 3rd arty applications? Do we have to use a different method?

reply

Kevin, I'm stuck please..I can't find a single video explaining how to make all replies on a message appear in the same message like we used to. Whenever I receive several replies to a message I sent, each comes in a separate message and that doesn't help relating at all.

How to get the notification that I received the mail without receiving the mail. Due to corporate policy, I won't want to receive the mail itself, but I want to know I received an email so that I can go and check in the computer.

This is another example of how ridiculously complicated MS apps can be. Neat tricks here, but in the -real- business and social (i.e.not Geek world), who wants to mess with all of this to send a friggin' text message?
reply

Kevin I followed your instructions and sent a text message directly from outlook. It worked perfectly but when I tried to send an attachment the text got through but not the attachment(PDF) format.
