Chat about Linux? Why??
Linux developers and proponents have at least as poor social skills as I do. And the more they know the worse they are.
Some even act like some sort of authority figure telling others what they should learn about Linux. And even resort to lecturing on netiquette.
Some of us would rather learn just enough about Linux to accomplish what we want. To get our own computers set up the way we want them. Then we opt to spend our mental efforts and limited -me-time- elsewhere. Enjoying the fruits of our Linux efforts in doing so.
But it is fun to sometimes troll you with epic-sized run-on sentences. No matter how much we actually respect and value your knowledge of Linux.

How how how can a -norm-, see that a program has been vetted free of backdoors etc? I can't even tell Joe many people downloaded or -like- a given program on GitHub or source forge much less anything more. Please!!! Do a video on this. It would have been nice to know Mint has -b lobs- of proprietary code rendering the whole damn thing insecure, months ago. Nobody has!!

It's funny how people that always talk freedom, and free software and freedom of speech suddenly turn into little dictators. Just imagine, Derek, someone invites you to a chat but tells you that if you say a word in a wrong direction you're gone! My loyal police will get you out In a blink of an eye. Matrix is bloat, no one needs images, emojis, profiles or chat logs to communicate; Only single line unformatted ASCII, we've already been doing that for decades and no one complained. Actually computers are bloat for communication, just stick to paper letters, we've been doing that for hundreds of years everyone was fine. :-)

I was not going hoping to join as i had no idea of installing elements and all , But when i looked in my application it occurred to me that fractal was there already, a matrix client as i was using manjaro. So it was just a coincidence.

Boooo Linux! Join Windows and stop worrying about LibreOffice or Audacity becoming spyware or not supported anymore. With Microsoft everything is closed source because user doesn't need to worry about it. Easier for everyone. :)
