I wonder that peoeple, especially in the open source community, do accept Google as the old bull in the ring and not callenge their services more by providing distributed, open-source alternatives. As with the Internet, services that are typically used by all people should not be in the hands of a tiny fraction of companies that use your data to make big money by selling your privacy data to others or gain more insights into your -mind- and behavior.

1:39 that's why you design protocols where 'their house' isn't a conceivable notion to it.
Like, tox, or ssb.
Even those still have the flaw of using 'yellow pages' to reach each other, but... you know... How does one remove that? Maybe something that 'reverse proxies' itself through regularly opened ports... But that still has the problem of dynamically allocated entryways...

I really like odyssey, but I have two major problems with it besides some missing features:
1. It buffers a lot for me, cant watch a vid half of the time
2. It feels really cluttered and 90% of the content I see on a page really are not interesting.

false flags happen becuase you deal with so much info so much data chance that you might make a mistake is low but its not 0. and on other hand humans can abuse report system to get you deplatformed things like that happen
