If you are having trouble with an audio delay (an other person mentioned, I didn't notice), maybe try the following (assuming u r using OBS): Settings->Output-> Recording Tab -> The rate control setting (I think I use CBR but don't remember right now) and then Bitrate you might want to set to 40000 and then u can try turning up the CPU usage preset to something faster. I don't really know what I'm talking about, just an amateur offering some hints if you are having trouble and looking for something to try.

Hey DT! Thanks for giving opportunity to find ideal distro. As a student who hates Windows and likes wm more than regular GUI, but having not much time for figuring out how to configure wm, it's best option for me. I'm using regolith for around a week now and it's great. Still don't understand why is this distro not that well-known (I haven't found it until now, and I use linux for -1 year) and why isn't it used by more people.

After Manjaro messed up with drivers recently, I switched to Ubuntu to actually be able to do some real work. I feel too busy to play around with drivers etc so Ubuntu is the most convenient option. But after years of working experience with i3wm, Gnome was just too annoying to use. Now I found Regolith and.. it is just for me! Highly recommended.

OK so I paused the video just as the intro was playing and just wanted to point out:
You can install i3wm from any other flavour of Debian or Ubuntu. You do not have to switch distro in order to access i3 or any tiling window manager for that matter.
Just something to bare in mind!

Perfect for me becuase I just want linux on my home computer for school (as I use mac on my laptop, riced of course ;)), but cant be bothered going through huge setup again and would rather just port my settings from my dots straight over to I3 (will need changes oc). Great video.

Decided to try this on my ancient 1st gen i5 HP Elitebook. All my servers and stuff use Ubuntu now, and I'm a former Arch/i3 user. Boy, this is sweet. I REALLY like it a lot. This is such an excellent introduction to tiling WMs for new users. Really impressed!

I appreciate distros like this. However, I wish there was an Ubuntu based distro that allows the user to choose the stuff they want in the install like in archlabs linux. To choose the wm you want, file browser... Yeah that would be great.

I rly wont ubuntu and pure i3 -gasp wm without other like gdm shity window... If not better for me is manjaro i3 or slitaz... not mater coz i never cant setup arch to work good with my sony vaio laptop from 0 install proces + i3...

I'm really interested in tiling window management, but I've been afraid to make the jump. I might give this a try on my laptop. Are there any other beginner friendly tile manager WM distros? It's fine if it's Arch based.

Dear God... heaviest DE like Gnome 3 and i3gaps without ranger, neovim, midnight commander, pcmanfm,no mpv, but with standard Gnome apps!?? that's crazy.. I think many users will giveup in 10 minutes max...
