Yes that is useful but I have scrambled the settings somehow and cannot bring up any icons on the desktop screen despite carrying out the exact instructions in the video.
I am sure it is me and my forgetfulness here that is causing the problem, but I cannot remember what I did so as I can reverse it.
Suggestions welcome especially from the publisher of this very clear and useful video, ,,,,please?

To remove a regular shortcut icon from desktop [ RIGHT CLICK THE SHORTCUT AND DELETE ]. If it keeps annoyingly reappearing when you next open the program then instead of deleting the shortcut icon [ RIGHT CLICK THE SHORTCUT ICON ] then click [ OPEN THE FILE LOCATION ] and cut or drag and drop that desktop icon to the file location you just opened, it should stop reappearing on the desktop.

This is not so much helpful. It's only for common Icon. I need to hide all or specific something. It's useful for new user. I tried it from registry file but there is a problem. All Icon removed permanently. That means fresh screen. You have to create desktop shortcut again from application directory folder if you need it. Thank you.

YAAAASSSS!!! Even a good video over 4 years later!... I mean, who wants all that clutter anyway. Keep those shortcuts tucked away on your Start Menu, right?! -
