Signal. WHY? - Surveillance Report 37 - Techlore AJ: Honestly sometimes I don't know if you guys are on the side of the bad guys or what. -In this case it was good that this guy was caught (yeah sure) but he should've used monero that way he wouldn't have been caught- so next time a bad guy can hire a hitman to murder an entire family and use monero to cover his tracks completely, sometimes I wonder if you guys realize what you're really advocating here and what kind of future you're trying to create, where supposedly everyone is anonymous and can do whatever they want without getting caught. Yeah if the world was perfect and there weren't bad people then that would be good but we don't live a in world like that.
What's the price that society will have to pay if every human being has complete privacy in every way and law enforcement or anyone else can't never know or prove that you have done something bad? that's a pretty dystopian future, where every corrupt politician or murderer etc etc. can get away with everything, is just some food for thought.

23: 00 - I don't know when it happened precisely, but the ACLU stopped standing for what they used to stand for sometime in the last decade. They might've flipped earlier. I don't know.
They would now never defend the right of the KKK to hold a rally. And, with that being the case, I will never donate to them again. And no, I would never personally attend a KKK rally, and I'm not happy they happen. But, if a place doesn't stand for something, they stand for nothing, and defending the first amendment used to be what the ACLU stood for.
Given that they've decided their principles are meaningless, it doesn't surprise me that they're selling data to the big tech companies.

re: Lack of public confidence in ethics/competence of tech companies: 8: 32. This is a teachable moment for guys like you. I think the number one reason for public apathy about protecting personal privacy is precisely the fact that we -don't understand what this means. - Privacy issues are complex and protecting one's privacy usually means sacrificing convenience, access to critical services and interaction with other people. It's also just an overwhelming topic for many consumers. Thanks, guys for working to make this topic m ore accessible. Please keep teaching -what this means. -

What Twitch (owned by Amazon) is doing is a complete violation of our rights as people and their jurisdiction as a corporation.
This is how corporations take over and BECOME GOVERNMENT. If we allow this to continue, it's a VERY SLIPPERY SLOPE. We have to show them this won't stand.

Thank you so much, Henry & Nathan. I am currently not housed but watched anyway from a remote, unsecure location using Proton vpn. Lol. Not an advert! This video is YUGE in so many ways, chock full of critical updates and info. Much appreciated.

I have witnessed the fact that Signal is a compromised surveillance asset. Feds and 14 Eyes (of some sort) are monitoring it. If you truly want to prevent prying eyes, build your own computing device and write your own software.

Video game CS: GO currently has an insane exploit that allows people to execute code on your PC, valve (game creator) has known about this for years and they haven't done anything about this. You can read more on Dexerto.

The password manager i use is Keepass!
It's open source, i belive. Don't take my word on that. The password is stored in an encrypted file locally on your computer so keep a backup of it: P

Yeah let em try and stop piracy lol. Good damn luck. I mean at this point, you can just give up. The combined might of the american movie and music industry have been hurled at it for decades now. Ain't happening.
