Another VPN Provider Is Compromised! (Surprise) - Surveillance Report 47 - Techlore
video description
Games are being given for free, and i agree that is definitely a much safer and better way to get them.
That being said, for other content I highly disagree. Adobe software is impossible to get your hands on in normal fashion, it costs way to much. FOSS is awesome and i love it, but it has no real product that can compete with what Adobe offers. Music is especially a problem, getting that highest quality music costs a lot of money. And getting it from subscription services is terrible for your wallet and privacy. Again for some this is fine, for others it isn't. Movies and tv shows are just impossible to get from one provider, and not everything needs it to be only available in English.
So don't sh-t on others for taking something that's provided by folks who worked a hell of a lot of hours. It doesn't impact you and it's always available for anyone who needs it. As with any community there are people who will take a cracked version and just add their own spyware to it.

Attention M1 users; Public service announcement. I racked my brain trying to figure out why my brand new M1 Mac mini #1 would not stream video from anywhere including Apple movies, #2 would not play installed video files, #3 my bluetooth keyboard would stop working, and even a plug in USB key board would not work. In the end. Express VPN was the culprit. Not knocking Express VPN. It works just fine on all my other devices, including iPhone 12 Pro, but for some reason, it messes with M1 silicon. I lost a nights sleep over this (there is literally no support for M1 silicon, and if I can save someone a trip to the Apple store, or an all nighter, it would make it just a little more worth my while. I see many VPNs available in the app store, so I don't think this is applicable to all VPNs, but Express did not get along on my M1 Mac mini. Good luck.

Hello! I am very confused. I purchased black out dots on Amazon to cover all my cameras. When I got to my camera it shows that it is completely black on both sides of the camera. But my facial recognition still works. Is there more than one camera on the iPhone 12 on the front. do I need to put two stickers on top of one another. Or Is facial recognition a joke and works no matter what? Would love your input or anyone who has an ideas!

Under no circumstances should you ever use DNA genealogy services, no matter how -private, - -secure, - or -trustworthy- they are. It's basically complete bunk. Don't give your money to pseudoscience and don't give DNA samples to businesses.
(I don't want to make an appeal to authority, but I am studying biology at university and my genetics professors agree that it's horseshit)

I think it really matters in wich country a vpn is based. Already in 2004, the Netherlands ordered the ISP I was working for to implement equipment connected to their special agency. Just a few people knew. Seems till this day still a big secret. So when an ISP has to do that, a VPN provider too.
I guess they can not use it legally, just for own unformation.

The title of the U. K. government's -Secretary of Culture- sounds like something from a speculative fiction story about an oppressive and overbearing nation that tries to control how its citizens can express themselves and partake in culture (and possibly punishes those who don't fall in line with the propaganda's desired image for the country.

It's sad to listen to this.
About WD - advice to backup data on device meant to keep backups, then advice to update, but the problem was zero day.
Sounds like uninformed person takes on some news just to make content, but without research or thinking through what to tell. :-\
Looks like poor amateur job.

Hi Henry, could you direct me to a video or let us know what you mean about developing a threat model with the understanding that in the future your VPN could be compromised? What do you mean by that and how do we do that? Do you already have a video you could direct me to? Thank you!

If anyone is interested in using any other f these services, look into the pet lizard story.
They don't tell you anything about your genealogy, they are completely fraudulent and just make up shit.

Kind lost faith in protonvpn, there server load is always mega high. I gather this due to lack of servers compared to other VPN provider. Can't complain with mullvad, high quality service. -
