My set for privacy:
- Linux-based OS (Mint or ParrotOS)
- Firefox or Chromium as Browser
- NoScript, Multi Containers and Privacy Badger as Addons
- Element for chatting
- DuckDuckGo as Search-Engine
- Mailcow for E-Mails
- Fairphone with /e/
And there are much more things to do: /

I don't see an advantage in creating the additional profiles in Brave. I created two, with the hopes of having to seperate sets of bookmarks for each profile and that did not work. So what is the multiple profiles -supposed- to do?
I tried asking Brave support/community support with zero responses.

This is so awesome--thank you. I want to add--if we also content produce, and I hope doesn't come off as -oh can I rip off your video- but wouldn't know a lot of this awesome information. besides sharing the video, if I make my own video, would you like me to especially refer back to y'all?

This only partially improves privacy. Just the first two steps are something that I consider privacy-relevant, because as long as you're using a non-degoogled Android phone, you're still fully tracked and surveilled by Google.

For me, Vivaldi or some others browsers are better than brave since they don-t have some essentials such as website page translating and a bunch of other things tbh. Also their reputation isn-t spotless.

I would add two more items to this beginner's list:
8) Anti-virus / Anti-ransomware (even if using stock OS software, it is important to know it exists and to set it up correctly)
9) Backups

I think Jami should be suggested, because can be started without sign up so easier to switch and is cross platform too and P2P
