Building & Setting Up a MINING RIG, Full Guide! (3x 1660 Super, 100MH/S Ethereum!) - Sebs FinTech In this epically long video I go through every single step of putting together a 3 GPU mining rig and getting it up and running mining Ethereum. I start by going through all of the parts and components we're going to use to build the mining rig, we then move onto setting up our BIOS for mining, followed by how to set up Windows 10 for mining crypto and finally how to install and tweak all the software needed to start mining Ethereum. The rig we're building has 3 EVGA GTX 1660 Super graphics cards, and after I was able to get my hands on those GPUs I figured it was the perfect opportunity to make a full video guide on how to build a mining rig from start to finish, as well as how to set it up for mining in Windows 10! You should be able to follow along with this video while putting together a mining rig of your own. Video summary: We start by going through all the computer components we're going to use in the mining rig build. After this we move onto assembling the CPU, CPU cooler and RAM onto the motherboard, and plug in our SSD. We plug everything into our power supply and hook up a keyboard and monitor. We go through how to set up your BIOS for mining and then move onto showing you how to install Windows 10. Once Windows has installed, I show you how to set Windows up for mining and go through all the settings you need to change inte the operating system. We then move onto installing our 3 graphics cards into the computer by connecting them to PCIe risers and plugging them into our power supply. We then cover installing the Nvidia drivers for our GPUs, as well as how to set up MSI Afterburner for overclocking. Finally, I show you how to download the crypto mining software and set it up to mine the coin you want with the mining pool of your choice. After overclocking the graphics cards in MSI Afterburner, we are able to increase our hashrate and get our 3 GTX 1660 Supers to mine Ethereum at just below 100 MH/s. (95.4 megahash to be exact!)

Sebs: saw your video Awesome information. Please I am thinking of buy 3: PNY - XLR8 Gaming Single Fan NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Overclocked Edition 6GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black (single fan on the GPU)
Then I saw your Video You have GEFORCE GTX 1660 SUPPER which has double fans.. help me which one is more sufficient for mining and how do you differentiate between the two. Thank

i learn lot from you, huge thanks for your contents
I just bought New 1660 super VENTUS XS OC 6gb (x8) for $4000 including tax.
my friend paid 2x3090's for $4800 for 248mh/s about 630w together.
I think ill get approx 7% more hash(264mh/s) and 15% less investing than 2x RTX3090's and watts usage about same.
this is my first time getting into mining, wish me luck with this.

Im planning to buy 1660 Super this week, but I am wondering if this card will still be profitable even if ethereum mining ends.
Should I buy 1660 super? or I should just go with RTX 3060? Please help
My plan is 3pcs 1660 Super or 2pcs 3060.

Hi Seb :) How did you manage to get into the Bios..seems like I tried any of the DEL, EXT, TAB key and none of them works... I have a ASROCK Q270 mining motherboard :)
Let me know!

A question please sir, on minute 10:10 you plug in the SSD. Why not simply using a UAB stick instead? It's less space room, less a cable, does a great job a 32GB USB 3.1 ?

Great video! Been building rigs for years and still enjoyed watching you put this together. Maybe it's the lack of GPUs so I can live vicariously?

Amazing video!. I want to build my first rig, what motherboard do you recommend on November 2021, the one in your list is not available anymore. Thanks

Perfect guide . I saved it waiting for my cpu and motherboard to arrive and starting my first rig build in a couple of days.
This will help so much.
