I Tried Adding 16 GPUs to my Mining Rig - Sebs FinTech we try to add a full 16 GPUs to our crypto mining rig. I order to be able to attempt this we have to first shuffle our power supplies around, adding 3x 850W PSUs in our main rig for a total of 2550W of power. After this we also need to add a 1-to-4 PCIe splitter card in order to get a full 16 PCIe ports on our motherboard. After this we just start plugging in graphics cards onto the motherboard, one at a time. But are we able to get all 16 graphics cards to work and mining Ethereum in our mining rig? You're just going to have to watch to find out!

Hey Seb! Really enjoy the content and have been learning a lot from you. Im having similar issues using 4 PCIe splitters on an ASUS TUF 570 motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5600 CPU.
Im maxing out at 14 1060 6 GB GPUs despite all of my efforts to get to 16 (switching PCIe locations, disabling USB & audio in bios, checking/triple checking wiring). Its good to hear Im not the only one running into this problem but I havent found a solve yet either.
NiceHash Miner reports up to 33 PCIe lane available for my GPUs so I think there should be room for all 16 GPUs. I believe 4 are also dedicated to my M2 SSD.
Im trying an M2 to PCIe adapter that you showed in previous videos to see if I can push the GPU count higher. Ill let you know how that goes.
Keep up the good work!

did you tried it again? and worked?. i have a z270 board and a i5 6600 lying around . i wanna try if it can do 3pcs of 1-4 pcie splitter so it can have a total of 16gpus . z270 chipset have more pcie lanes than the h110 . it currently runs 2 3060 atm. gonna update here if it works when i get 14 more 3060s . just waiting for the reasonable price to buy again

i would go into the bios disable everything your not using and make sure 4g decoding is on it might work it might not .. i use one of those splitters on a 3 pcie mobo and i run 6 cards on it ..not sure if thats the same or not but i know i had to disable onboard sound and usb 3 ports to get it to work

Hello Sebs!! Why you don't try to set up your rig with Linux? Or maybe try at least HiveOS? MiningChamber has a video about it and it's so easy. If you don't know, Windows sometimes has problems if you have a lot of GPUs but Linux seems to be ok with that. Give it a try if you want! :D

Hi i watched like all of your videos and the quality is amazing, seriously 10/10 keep it up. It would be really nice to have discord server for your fanbase where you would communicate and share your experience about more specific questions.

your right about the PCI lanes and what the CPU supports, the M.2 SATA isn't a nvme you may still may be able to use a m.2 adapter that will turn it in to a pci but this works better with nvme as it won't use sata lanes but nice try! lol

Heck of an effort buddy. I know that is frustrating, but love to see these type videos where you try to go outside the box and find limitations. In the name of science

I have 1200 W PSU (marked as Platinum, not sure which manufacturer). How much GPUs GTX1080 Ti I can hook up to this one? Please help. Thank you in advance.

How many lanes does your cpu for the rig have? How many lanes do you think 1 gpu is using? I have a 40 lane cpu just laying around spare parts :)
