5 MISTAKES new miners make (Don't do this when GPU mining Ethereum, Ravencoin, etc!) - Sebs FinTech I go through the 5 most common mistakes that beginners make when GPU mining Ethereum, Ravencoin etc. Make sure you're note making these beginner mistakes when learning how to mine Ethereum! So this video is basically a list of the 5 GPU mining mistakes I usually see when talking to people about mining on Discord and here in the comments. The first mistake when mining is just simply not doing enough research before you get started mining crypto. When learning how to mine cryptocurrency, t's a good idea to watch at least a handful of beginner tutorials about GPU mining before you get started. The second mistake is direct mining Ethereum without enough hashpower. If you only have one or a couple of GPUs, it'll probably take you at least a month or more to get an actual payout from the pool with your total hashrate. The third mistake I see people do when mining on their GPUs is not running your GPU fans fast enough. It is much better to run your fans att 100% speed if that's what's needed to keep your card cool. Fans are cheap and easy to replace, but a GPU that's damaged due to overheating is basically garbage. The fourth mistake is just copying someone else's overclock settings that they found for their GPU and applying it on your GPU. Each GPU is individual and needs unique overclock settings, copying someone else's settings means you will not have optimal overclocks for your GPU. The fifth and final mistake I see people make when GPU mining is not using power supplies with enough wattage. Using PSUs without enough headroom for the full TDP of all your GPUs can cause you massive issues, and if you're spending thousands of dollars on GPUs, please spend an extra $100 getting a more powerful power supply to make sure your mining rig is safe

I've only just started mining seriously. Originally I just used my gaming laptop, which had a tendency to overheat because of the vents getting blocked, so I'm much more careful there. Now I have an actual rig, currently with just a single GPU in a tower case. Temperature is an interesting one because after all the overclocking settings, they only go to 50 C at 50% fan speed. Mind you, it's the middle of winter and the room they're in is freezing cold, so that probably helps! Things might be different if a second GPU were installed in the case (there's physical room as well as plenty of headroom on the PSU).

I plugged in my 2nd riser wrong on the mobo pcei slot, It was bad lightings and I just wanted to get the rig started. When I felt the usb plug slide in I thought. no way that's wrong, it's even shaped for this kind of thing... well I managed to plug it in with only half cable in the pcei slot XD with half sticking out.....ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK.....now I have a non working 1060 because of this. Might have fun trying to repair after spending a few days watching those videos, but if anyone has a good go to guy for this stuff let me know. But over all lesson learned. P.S head lamps are a wonderful thing =) cheers

Youre totally overkilling on the psu. What posssible scenario would make all components in the rig suddenly draw their tdp amount of energy?? To be safe you can calculate wattages of all gpus in their default state while mining, add 100w for the rest, and add something to that, what you add on top of that actually depends on the psu you are using and its rating in order to keep it at its optimal window where it has best efficency

Thanks for the advise, I'm a gamer and I'm mining ERG with my non-lhr 3070 and this was absolutely the advise I was looking for, I mean the second one, I always though why ETH appears to be the most profitable coin but payouts and fees left me with less profits than mining other coins like ERG, I'm gonna try your advise of getting paid in NANO while mining ETH, thanks!

Not counting electric bills, not wanting to change thermal paste on overclocked setting at recommended interval, ignoring sudden hashrate increase... Not only that these are the things new miners would make mistake of, these are also what GPU marketers mistakenly forget to determine GPU msrp's... That which people are saying is an actual GPU shortage disaster...

When investing for your future, make sure you invest in the right place. Invest with Mr Corey if you want to succeed in trading. Dont take this for granted because so many investors are now millionaires, Mr Corey is very reliable, he pays when due without stress and I can stand for that because i've not recorded any loss trading with him for over 2months now

so i have 32 gpus now i need help to make these rigs more stable im building out mostly 1660 supers and tis but have a mix of 2060s 3060 3060 ti 3080 and 3080tis founders editions does anyone have a handy wee spreadsheet with the best overclocks and power settings for each gpu type also i run each 8 gpu rig from a 1800 watt supply and on btc37 motherboards

2miners pays eth equivalent in nano and payout is as little as .0005 nano. Nano has NO transaction fees to move it. I send it to kraken wallet and sell it higher then transfer it to my bank account. Gpu fans need to be adjusted to keep your gpu cool. I would not say 100% unless it absolutely necessary. All gpus vary.

Great :) i did only 2 mistakes :D to much power on 1080ti but only like 12 days and low psu power :D but understood thaht fast like in 1 day :D ruining 0.6GHS eht now :D at 0.475 eff irg takes 800w only for gpus but i do have 2x750w psus :) easy :)

I'll be the first to admit that I have of course made some of these mistakes myself in the past. What are some mistakes you've made, or that you commonly see people make? Please share here in the comments and we can all avoid them! :)
