The Longest Yard patch, dropped my FPS to a max hard cap of 20. The only time it passes 20, is during the first quake logo loading screen when you press ESC to skip the cutscenes, at that point, it can reach 60 but as soon as it loads the game, it drops to 20 maximum. I'm one of the many people who are having this problem. Before, I had it capped at 70 FPS and it stayed at 70. No settings/installing changes anything, it's a bug in the patch.

So where are the benchmarks with before and after result? I mean... of course you'd set everything to low. But all the rest of the mumbo jumbo? :D does this still apply after all the updates to the game etc?
I played around with snake oil on my old machines back in the days, but I could never really determine if it made a difference or not?

The fact that this is the #1 video when you look up how to improve performance for QC is absolutely laughable.
Im willing to bet Panjno doesn't even have a license to play video games in the UK, let alone QUAKE or DOOM.

Please help me. I'm trying to run quake champions on a laptop with amd a9 cpu and Radeon r5 gpu (not enough even for minimum requirements). Will these tips work for it without melt down or damaging the pc???

This guy have no clue what's he's recommending, it's a patchwork from different games fixes, like the DPI one, not to mention 2 minute of content is spread out on almost 17 minutes lol, what a trash.

Do't be salty about a thing that should be taking 2 min. He is good and helped me boosting my fps. And pay some respect cuz he is doing his best. I dropped a sub and a like for it.

This guy's ram OC is off because his timer resolution should be closer to .500 and there is a way to auto launch the timer rez using a different app.
