Great vid. Braxman, you have a better job than these technologists that advise on cyber security stuff. I bet they are all watching your videos feeling like a very small cogs in a wheel doing the same sh-t everyday not expereincing all the other cool stuff about this profession. Hell even your peer consultants will be watching these vids! Congrats! Can these be set up with a SIM card? Is there any benefit in using a SIM based router? Is it possible to VOIP via LAN router and avoid mobile networks? At least putting stops in where bloaty metadata can be stripped ie. Mob net to router stop, router to SIM stop, SIM to network. Or have I totally got the wrong end of the very complicated stick with that whole scenario?

After watching this I'm a bit disappointed with your naming of the devices and the fact that all you show is how to plug in your little vpn to an existing home Internet router. You even have the device naming wrong.
WiFi means wireless connection and not the hardware. The hardware is called a router. And routers have switches built into them which is what the single or multiple rj45 connections are. The router can either also have a modem builtin or not.
Got to say I'm truly disappointed is an understatement. -

Is there a brax vpn router with 1000 or 10, 000 mbs ethernet ports instead of 20 mbs USB? I have wifi range extenders at over 1770mbs. We use 10, 000mbs cat 7 cable to feed it from the Internet router which is currently 1000 mbs. If I put the brax router in between the Internet modem and 1770mbs range extender what speed can the brax router flow data? Using a USB 3 to ethernet adapter at 20mbs is a waist of my 1000mbs internet router. Especially as 10, 000 mbs is coming soon.

You just made the video of how to install a VPN router, so I can hide my IP address, so zucking complicated that I don't know what the zuck to do! You just can't help yourself. You have to zucking realize that there are people out there who don't know even 1% of what you know. I have watched so many of your videos, because I want privacy, but by the time you are finished, I don't know what the zuck you are talking about. WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE A VIDEO FOR BEGINNERS?

Rob! Do you upload your YouTube videos from a vpn connection? Can it create any problems? Because I came across several threads where users complained that they had problems accessing their YouTube/Google account from vpn connection as their behavior seemed suspicious (from what I have understood, they seemed to use vpn not consistently, but only from time to time)
Or there's no need using vpn when you are logged into your YouTube account at all?

Braxman addicts (like me) I am hoping someone can answer if Rob's solution for a whole house VPN will work with my Google -mesh- router.
I presume a switch will be necessary and I don't have any ports avaliable on the main mesh access point, but I have two other access points over WIFI that have 2 avaliable ethernet plugs that I think will assign an ip address.
I have the BRAX. ME account and will also seek that resource. Thanks everyone. 7/3/21.

Hey Rob, So with the two routers when you are going to do banking on the non-VPN router - how is it easily switchable? I would just go into wireless settings on the computer and select a different router? then when done go back to the VPN Router? and is the Brax router compatible with my Google wifi mesh network? I currently use Nord VPN software, and would like this setup, but have to ask where does the Brax router send my stuff through?

#1 don't think a VPN will make you 100% safe. #2 if you're using an iPhone, your security was compromised when you started using it and gave all your info to Apple just to turn it on along with Apple using every trick in the book to monitor your every word, movement and association. Samsung does it too. Just remember, the smarter the phone, the more privacy you have to give up to the company.

Maybe two obvious questions:
If the router from the ISP includes the Wifi, can the BraxRouter just be attached there the same way for the VPN side?
Could three different sets of power-line models be used for example one for normal Ethernet, one for the VPN Ethernet and one for Tor Ethernet?
Thank you for your videos and helping the resistance!

I need a little clarity. If one is using a VPN router setup, but then has to connect to a non-VPN to conduct some banking transactions, does that not negate the point of using the vpn setup? If at a home network, you've done told the internet you're this person at this location.
