I sent Marseille an e-mail but have not received a follow up reply when inquiring about the differences between the Gaming Edition and Cinema Edition. Also, their video answering this question was insufficient and vague. The owner said that the gaming edition simply -applies more aggressive anti-aliasing- I play games and watch movies about equally. Here are my questions:
1. Do both editions apply anti-aliasing? If so, what does -more aggressive anti-aliasing- actually mean?
2. What does the Cinema edition do that the Gaming edition doesn't?
3. If I could only afford to purchase 1 cable, which would you recommend and why?
4. If I could afford 2 cables, and wanted to connect 2 cables together to double their effect for gaming and movies, which combination would you recommend and why?
5. Also, what is the best way to convert 480i, 720i, and 1080i, to 480p, 720p, and 1080p content so that the Marseille mCable algorithm will work?
Thanks guys!

Absolutely not. AGPU + $150 for the 6- cable or USE the lowest msaa/fxaa on the AGPU. Or no AGPU and spend $150 on a used 4GB 580 (they are all over now) or a 970. I honestly thought it was going to cost $40 at which point it would have been a head shaker; ei eh, maybe, I guess it-s better than a $35 1. 2+ hdmi or $15 display cord. If it-s a head shaker at $40, it-s an absolutely no fricken way at $110-$150. Seriously, on a budget setup that would benefit from that, wouldn-t it benefit more from spending that $110-$150 on an entire GPU? Or like you said. Say you had $219 for an 8GB Sapphire Nitro 580 (new, you could tack that $150 on AMD get a new 1070.
That price needs to go way down.

I use this with my switch and XBONE S. It works wonders for both at 1080p (Xbox One S looks better with the mcable at 1080p than regular upscaled 4k but doesn't compete with xbox one X native 4k. With all that said when I try to use it with my computer and my 144hz 1080p monitor or any hz resolution monitor I get static/noise every like 10 - 120 seconds. Any idea why that is? All my monitors are free-sync but I tried with turning those features off, and I even tried it on a standard 1080p tv and same issue. The GPU is AMD RX Vega 64, with a recently replaced Ryzen 5 3600 cpu.

$150 for a 6ft hdmi cable is definitely not worth it in my opinion, even if your a big graphical junkie that likes having some form AA ingame. I just dont see this being adopted to the mainstream at this price point. Though I will say that this is a step in the right direction as far as AA elimination overall since traditional AA is just too taxing on performance at the moment. Hopefully this gets better and cheap over time but as of this moment this company should continue more R&D to help lower the cost of production.

you can also look at it from the perspective of it can be reused in better graphics cards you get down the road. So maybe the price is a bit steep compared to compared to the benefits of putting that money into a new cards. However, this cable can be used in your next pc build and the one after that etc. Meaning, in the long run, it can actually give you some pretty good bang for your buck.

I as a PC and Console gamer got the mClassic (it's the mCable but instead of being an HDMI cord, it's just an HDMI dongle, it's also made by the same people that made the mClassic) and I find there IS a use on PC, but it's an ultra specific use case, which is on emulation or PC games that won't run in 1080p for some reason like Metal Gear Solid 2 where it maxes out at 1280 x 720

This would be optimal for Console gaming, this would work nicely with Wii games (with 480p through the Wii U) PS2 games (converting Component 480p and 480i to HDMI 480p) PS3 Games (720p) Xbox 360 (720p) original Xbox (component? to HDMI) DreamCast (480p VGA 480i RGB SCART to 480p HDMI) N64 (the few games that run in 480i with RGB scart 480i to 480p HDMI)

very well done guys, the idea to switch to a better setup was key here!
respect.
maybe this is just a luxury item, like you have a top end gpu and want AA for free (4k, big screen, you need every bit of performance even with a 1080ti? but then. DLSS is coming for the 20xx cards, will have to judge later.

I-d say it would prob be best for someone who has high end hardware and just wants the best picture quality they can get regardless of cost. Or I wonder if it would help a console. Like the switch, PS4 or original Xbox 1. Also what if you had an hdmi mod for older consoles and this makes it even better - hmm.

The mCable has been absolutely FANTASTIC when used my Nintendo Switch! It provides what is essentially a hardware upgrade that cannot be achieved in any other way!
I only paid $100 for it and I wouldn't imagine using it on a PC when you could spend an additional $100 on a GPU instead.
