My new XPS 15 has been shipped to the Dell Repair facility once again. I have NEVER been able to use the Dell XPS 15 for work due to the setup, diagnosis, trouble shooting, time lost while in transit to Dell, time lost while being repaired by Dell.
Dell has not delivered an XPS 15 to me as advertised and purchase on the Dell online store in March 2019. Currently, my XPS 15 is missing these key advertised features:
1. Fingerprint Scanner
2. CPU Cooling Fan
3. Functioning Security Login (PIN/Password/Fingerprint Options)
4. SD Card Reader Functionality.
Dell has not delivered Warranty Services as advertised and purchased in March 2019.
Dell has been give 6 months to provide warranty services.
I have personally spent over 50 hours baby sitting Dell support teams to diagnose/repair the system.
My personal billing rate is $175/hour of which Dell has made no effort to provide reasonable compensation.
The system has never been serviced properly even though it has been shipped to the Dell repair center two times.
The system has been diagnosed by Dell with a failed SD Card Reader, a failed motherboard and a failed CPU cooling fan.
I have personally diagnosed the XPS 15 with an -unrecognized fingerprint reader-

Dell XPS 15-Laptop Trash. An engineering lemon riddled with hardware issues that cannot be fixed. I bought an XPS 15 in March and to this day have not been able to use it for work. They replaced the memory board a long with all updates and bios. My XPS was sent back with a fail d fingerprint reader and a cooling fan that runs on high constantly. Another twenty hours of my time spent working with overseas technicians who clearly do not speak the US version of English. Now they want to send a technician out to waste more of my time.
Never again Dell products of any kind. Not For business. Not For business recommendations.
I am waiting for Tuesday when their business center opens up and I can demand a full refund. To be fair, I should charge Dell $175/hr for my time spent baby sitting on the phone training their techs.
Dell is the poster child of a mature US company with terrible engineering and fails outsourcing support.

Hey guys! I am a Youtuber as well and do quite a bit of video editing but I have no idea which specs I need. Here's what I DON'T need. Since I have an external monitor, the size of the laptop screen or it being touchscreen means nothing to me. While very nice, all the premium materials & thinness of the XPS range are also not needed. The laptop also stays in one place so portability is not needed but I don't want a big desktop. I just need a pretty quick laptop that will render my videos as fast as possible. I also would like not to break the bank. Here's what I DO(or think I do)need: I want a Dell. Intel i7 9th or 10th Gen, 16gigs or more of RAM, 512gb Hardrive and not sure if a dedicated graphics card helps in the rendering of videos or if that's for game play on the machine itself of which I do none. Any suggestions?

One big flaw of the Dell XPS 7590 Oled, is that the nvidia driver does not enable colorsetting or gamut controls. The del Premier color tool does not install. So this leaves you with only the colorsettings of the internal Intel videochip, so when enabling the Nvidia card, no control over the colorsettings! Be very aware of thes. DELL support has no clue how to fix it, their 1st and 2nd tier support have nog fix and have no idea. On the 4K Lcd touch version has these color controls are available. So Oled is nice but totally no control over the GTX 1650!

great video, OMG, having recently purchased a 2018 dell 15 7590, recently I was not made aware of a swelling battery issue. I am curious as to know if you have hade to replace the battery at all and how long are the batteries rated to last? Was there any error and or alert that the Windows OS gave you in your discovery of the battery problem, that is did you perform a diagnostic which informed you prior? This really sucks, to where I may now consider returning the laptop for this reason. Thanks

I have the Dell Inspiron 17 laptop, 7000 Series, 17/17/16G, I prefer the large screen because accustomed to desktop, only had this lp for approx. 6 months, paid over 1. 5K, under Best Buy coverage plan 4 one year, this lp has been under repair for several problems, received last repair on 3/14/19, as of 4/1/19, needs repair again, honestly, first time purchase of laptop, I am done with DELL.

I've had the XPS 15 2 in 1 for about six months now. I thought I would use the 2 in 1 ability much more than I do but I really don't. Touch screen is glitchy at times, and lots of other minor annoying glitches. Overall, it's not a bad laptop at all but in my opinion if you are looking for a 15 inch laptop, just go with the regular XPS 15.

Hi Guys which one would you recommend to do a dissertation, using word, ppt and do researches as im a University student and im a bit confused and yeah i urgently need a new laptop. Important to note that the Uni projectors uses HDMI cables.

I had an horrible experience with Dell xps 13. My advice, don t buy this laptop, if the indges broke you ll have to replace the whole screen and that s 600 pound, that s from Dell. Very poor design inside. Ugly inside, beautiful outside
