Gordon finds a quiet place at CES to unbox and walk through the specs of EVGA's big surprise: Nu Audio. It's engineered by Audio Note and could be the Cadillac of sound cards to take on Creative. Shot on a Canon C100 Mark 2

I just installed this card and I'm loving it. My sound through my PC Razar speakers sound better. Two things to keep in mind. 1) you have to use a Sata power cable from the pc power supply, absolutely No sata cable extensions. Not enough power in the extention cables. 2) you may have to move it to a Pci express that is not being used by your Nvme(s) or SSDs. Love this card, no more Motherboard audio for this guy. Now I need to buy a nicer Headset.

Hello, I would like to ask you a question, can I hear my own voice while talking on my headphones without any delay? what is called direct monitoring mic or voice, this is very important to me, I like the same feeling as when you talk on the phone, so I don't scream while I play

I don't agree with the op amp choices, and I definitely don't agree with the price tag(especially considering it doesn't even have a hi-res audio certificate. I'm pretty sure you can get better external dacs for less money than what it's going for.

stereo is the only way to really go for audio 5. 1 and 7. 1 is nice for encoded movies, but in gaming stereo with a great audio engine and headphones with a nice sound stage is perfect for hearing clear details like foot steps and direction of gunfire

So. are you saying by not wanting to connect this into the front headphone jack, that this card does not have an included headphone amp? It is only an onboard DAC? That the only option you have is to hook it up to an external amplifier via the rear IO?

As someone that knows nothing about sound cards. Im a gamer but not a musician. What will this card do, that a good Aorus z370/z390 motherboard won't do? I use Astro A50's but have been looking into getting a good set of Headphones. Thanks

That top port for the front plate of your machine, is literally, an interface port TO THE CARD. It's just adding another jack.
Is he thinking you're going to get -case audio- from it if you hook it up? lol

The branding is a bit late. Nu Metal is a thing of the past.
On a more sensible note, as someone who games and does music production on the same PC, this card is probably aimed directly at me.

Why didn't they shielded it with a back plate. Had high-end card in my PC. but or the GPU / power supply always made a distortion to my sound/mic. Better get an external DaC for your pc.

wonder how it perform compared with creative and asus sound cards, on the other hande, how it perform comparing with an external DAC, and if will worth the price except the branding
