If the layout didn't tell you the story of what's to come (16c/32t, then look closely when the light glare shows the existing traces that will attach the second chiplet. Obviously they could release only a 12c/24t, but they would have no reason to limit the core count, since the full chiplets would be 16c/32t. Without question, the one they demoed is only the middle of the lineup. They have something special with this series, and they were just teasing everyone.

One would assume that AdoreTV's Jim's leaks are extremely close to being revealed as true facts, the yields on the chiplet design would be increased from day one, to counteract new node's lower initial yield. Gross margin expanding at AMD.

Why don't they make cpus bigger and not cram the lower end ones for lower performance? What if every amd cpu was on a threadripper sized socket, could get better cooling because more surface area.

Why why amd give intel 6 months time and why we have to wait so long for this beast. We need an answer from amd. If amd want to take market share from intel they have to mvoe fast!

This year we are getting hyper over 7nm technology, but imagine 50 years in to the future how bad it's going to sound(i can't even imagine what a pc from the future will look like)
