microsft windows live games for live was droped and games i bought last few moths of its life become unusable. trust in microsft is hard after that with gameing for me. To be honest i love windows 10 desktop and even live tiles which i use useeing third party software, yes third party software to make and use tiles cause microsft doesnt provide anything in windows 10. But when using edge, which i like i still cant have new tabs open to my default page and if opening a new tab, even if your home page is google microsft still forces you into bing. Im really fed up with microsfts slow softwaRE SUPORT, ITS LACK OF HDR FOR DEVELOPERS LIKE KODI, ITS LACK OF A PLEX APP ON BOTH PC AND XBOX AND THE EDGE BING FORCED RUBISH, IM READY TO LEAVE WINDOWS. Im currently moving my movies and tv shows over to a shield, once i have dont this itll only be gameing left on pc, but microsft are intent of not leting my chose how i browser or even how i make windows live tiles work that its just time to leave windows a os i still mostly love. Itll takwe me another year or twqo but unless microsft drasticly changes its aproach to edge and browsing and unless it actually suports its own features like live tiles then it bye bye windows. Shame because android isnt a solution on a laptop either. Whats left? apple? god i hope not

i own a xbox one s and i do love it, 4k player for 4k movies, a good gameing service and netflix. it has kodi but because its not hdr i dont use it and well plex is also gone, its a shame because if xbox series had plex, netflix, kodi and all were hdr and full atmos and add that to their gameing sub i would be sold. as it is ill be using xbox one s for many years to come. my ps4 netflix experience is awful and kodi and plex i havent even looked. gameing is good but like the xbox s controller my small hands struggle with the positioning of the bottom 2 trigers. I will probably invest in another console but itll be in 2-3 years time and itll be mostly based on media consumption suport like plex, kodi and netflix. Oh asnd a 4k physical player for all my 4k movies.
love games on ps4, last of us, god of war but the xbox one s in my opinion is a much better cxonsolew in menus and controller and i hated xbox controllers in past. Also pairing xbox controller is a dream on pc a ps4 paired is a little bit of a nightmare

Maybe you can clear this up for me. DX12U enables a hardware based implementation of Ray Tracing which differs somewhat from RTX ray tracing. It sounds like Nvidia stills gets the credit for their coordination with Microsoft to develop this technology, but I was curious how it differs from RTX specifically? It sounds like the hardware used for this implementation is different, as described in many of the XboxX deep dive videos. Additionally, I heard that the DX12U software can actually utilize non- ray tracing hardware to perform ray tracing, but requires upwards of 12TF to do so. Thoughts on this? Perhaps the ray tracing portion of the workload could be offloaded to an extra gpu? Nice job on keep the videos going during these strange times. Stay safe.

As a PC, I'm excited to see both of these in action but given the economic situation (especially three to six months from now) price is THE ONLY spec that matters. If they get the price wrong on these things, they may be DOA. Cheaper is better in the current environment so Sony may have actually lucked into the correct strategy. While MS's box looks like it may age better, if they again price this too high then the first 18 months will be all Sony.

Seems like Microsoft is doing a lot more marketing where as Sony is only starting to open up on technical specs and not doing marketing as yet. Don't discount Sony's PS5 as yet. I think it's going to be easier for developers to reach and sustain peak performance compared to Microsoft's console which would probably have more peaks and troughs due to problems in feeding the GPU with data and developers may need to do a whole lot more tweaking.

The XBOX series X has Superior Graphics Superior FPS Superior RayTracing Exclusive Variable Rate Shading and Superior Resolution up against the inferior ps5 9. 2 tflps(Constantweak)weak cpu and weak gpu below par ray tracing and NO Variable Rate Shading. No Contest The XBOX Series X is an Absolute Monster. Purchase Day 1 If you Desire State of the Art Performance. You Get what you pay for. Ssd irrelevant

every one is bragging about how good the graphics is but i want them to put in lower graphics settings. If i dont want all that shadows and stuff and want more fps i should be able to turn it off. in competitive play it would be nice to get higher fps. consoles are able to put out a lot more than 120 fps. would be great t o kill graphics and pull like 300

While I appreciate the PC knowledge you possess, your console knowledge is quite poor. When it comes to Playstation consoles the PS3 and PS4 had replaceable hard drives that were non proprietary. Yes the console user is not as technically inclined by hard drive replacement has been something they have been doing for well over decade at this point.

So you guys are paid for by nvidea. The new Dx12 was designed for XB first and foremost, while being available on PC. Therefore you know it will work better with AMD. I'm sure nvid helped too, but I'm expecting better utilization with AMD. I guess we will see once everything is out and you can run a Dx12U game on a new card.

The power of the PC is choice. it's also it's weakness.
The power of the Consoles is less choice. one storefront. one ecosystem. put the game in and play. no troubleshooting. no going online to find a fix. if DX12 somehow enable PC mods to work on Series x games. that will be a big win for consoles.
