Great build. At current prices I'd be tempted to go Intel for this use case (I've seen several sales that have 9900K or 10700K variants at around $300, and the 10850K at around $400, but there really aren't any bad choices as far as CPU's go.

I REALLY would have tried to squeeze a 3900 cpu in the budget instead, they were just on sale for Black Friday. I have 32gb 3200 in all of my computers now. It's a good build.
