Oh wow, that news about the Xe cards being highly restricted in compatibility really does suck. but also makes sense in terms of them not being more generally available to consumers.
I wonder if it's a situation where they haven't worked with Microsoft/OSS enough to get automatic recognition in the OS. I can't understand why a BIOS update would be required though, that's really weird. doesn't that technically mean they broke from the PCIe spec?

So Intel is blocking any Ryzen system from using this graphics card? Sounds a lot like what Intel and Nvidia have been accused of recently in blocking the use of higher end GPUs on Ryzen cpu configured laptops last year. Now Intel is blocking their low end GPU from Ryzen systems. Either way they want to block AMD one way or the other. Pathetic!

Lol Dave Lee still dunno why he-s so popular. Stopped watching him ages ago when he was the only guy with different temp readings for the 1st gen Lenovo Legion. Said CPU temps were in the 70s. Bought mine and was in the 90s like every other reviewer got.
