Adam and Alaina poke around inside the HP Omen 30L to see how it's laid out and talk about the current pre-built PC market RyqarST: I parted mine out.
The omen 30L design is complete garbage. If you're going to use it as a prebuilt and not do anything with the parts good luck to you.
The PSU is trash, non modular. No molex. Only 2 or 3 sata connectors.
The 3090 was hitting like 100C plus and throttling. The vram was overheating because it's passively cooled and the case has trash airflow.
The motherboard is awful to say the least.
The -3200mhz- ram is CL22 and the motherboard doesn't have XMP. It uses some crap HP software to set it to 3200mhz CL22.
CPU was a K model but the motherboard has no HDMI out. Have fun testing that overheating graphics card.
The HP bloatware was minimal but what was there was not good.
CPU watercooler performs the same as a $50 air cooler, has a low pressure fan blowing across a single 120mm radiator with minimal airflow.
Even the rgb case fan and cpu cooler are not reusable as they use proprietary connectors and a proprietary rbg controller that only works with the proprietary motherboard headers.
But seeing as it was only $2600 and included the 3090 -- would buy again.

I got the 3060 model with Ryzen 5 5600G and it has air cooling for the CPU. In this model-s case they left the AIO mounting plate in place up top which completely blocks all airflow from the top of the case. They didn-t even punch out the metal tabs where the AIO would mount. After removing the mounting plate, temps on both my GPU and CPU went down on average 5-8 degrees Celsius. If you have the same system as I do, definitely make sure to remove that plate. They are two small phillips head screws as well so you don-t need any fancy bit. ATM my temps are at an even 70 degrees Celsius under load on the GPU and CPU so I-m in a good range. After the addition of two 120mm fans at the top of the case, I expect to drop the CPU temp another 10 degrees. So overall the airflow and fan placement in this case isn-t the worst. I-ve definitely seen a lot of sub par airflow from other OEM prebuilts out there. This PC is definitely worth a purchase

This video is a good example of why you never trust YouTube videos without watching multiple. It came off as an infomercial and that-s basically what it was. Well it-s not a terrible prebuilt PC it-s not upgradable like they claim. If you get anything more than an i5 that 120 mm AIO won-t keep the CPU from thermal throttling under load. Also the RAM is HP specific. It doesn-t use an XMP profile like every off the shelf RAM uses today so your choices are either buy memory from HP at four times the price or have it run at a slower speed.

i dont understand how they dont overheat for yall, i got the 3090 of this and it overheats right off the box and fans sound sooo insanly loud? how do yall not see this when yall review it, it overheats so bad it just shuts off after gaming for a few hours lol, its not problem with mine either reviews all over the place are riddled with people complaining bout this exact same issue, the cooling and fan flow is horrible in this machine

I got this and i'm loving it. I'm definitely going to upgrade the cooling a little bit with higher RPM fans and possibly either a new AIO or at the very least a high static pressure radiator fan. So far the temps are not that good, espeically for long term component viablilty. Worst case scenario, i'll have to replace the entire case and possibly mobo and psu but luckily I already have an AM4 mobo on hand.

Just bought this exact model. Adding it to my existing 30L 3700x and 2060 model i love. While i could build one myself, i just went through building a hackintoshe and replacing dead battery and drive in 2011 macbook pro, so a prebuilt was right option for me. Had already ordered prior to seeing your vid, but my brother in market for something like this, so just shared with him. Thanks for video!

Great price but that's the only positive thing I see here.
Just one 120mm intake fan and a tiny 92mm exhaust fan -
I'm don't care that much about how my pc looks but the sheer amount of visible cable mess is among the worst I've ever seen in a pc
They should've gone with a metal plate on the side instead of the glass.
Great value for the price, can't argue with that -

I had this built but with a i9 10850k. It runs really toasty. I swapped out the exhaust fan for a 92mm chromax, added two 92mm fans at the bottom behind the psu. I split them with a 3 pin y splitter. The 92mm is a perfect fit at the bottom for two of them to be side by side. The last thing I swapped the aio fan for a noctua nf-f12 3000 rpm. It will be noisy but temps became manageable.

i just got this with 3080ti and i7-11700k. GPU temps are great, but the CPU temps will get very high unless you have funs on full speed. However, if you turn off turbo boost while gaming, temps will not go over 70 and i do not see any impact on frame rate. Not really a perfect solution but it'll do for anyone who doesn't feel like replacing the fans

I just got mine today.
Hp 30 L
Ryzen 7 5800x ( liquid cooling )
Rtx 3080
32GB RAM, RGB, DDR4, 3200MHZ
1 TB SSD
2TB HDD
WIFI 6
Bluetooth 5. 0
750W 80PLUS PLATINUM
MICRO ATX motherboard b550
Pretty good stuff they put in it.
I got it for 2364us$.
That was a steal.
