You dont knwo how to set up teh threadripper CPU if you are getting only 5k points in cinebench. with a proper set up you should score 5800 and no classic overclock, but power management optimization.
ALSO EPYC IS BEING USED IN WORKSTATION LOADS and in all sincerity for what the intel costs, with motherboard you can get an epyc dual CPU system for less the same money and perform at least twice as fast with ECC memory speeds and NO overclock. and we talking yes about the 2 Yeard old EPYC. if u wanna talk about this years epyc, Cine bench wont be able to handle those CPUs.
But HEy. if EPYC is too difficult for You just get a two socket threadripper in july and go for a 15kcinebench attempt with slight overclocking as y did on this piece of Intel junk that ha s motherboard manufacturers not sure if to price and release a motherboard for it at al Including ASUS wasted 6 EPS connectors that even on LIQUID NITROGEN MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO COOL AND USE ALL THOSE PINS.
that Intel on HIGH end Watercooled or chilled sytems shoudl run with one 8 pin and one 6 pin EPS despite u hve much more it wont be possible to cool even with a chiller, and for LN2 u cant use more than two 8 pin eps and pull 1200 watts

intel can be as powerful as it will be but when it comes to price, then you know who it is to look for.
basically, anything can be as good as it is, but if it out of reach and in this case we all know its fuhken crazy price intel always have on their chips,
AMD will always beat intel no matter what. unless you are a millionaire or a professional working in the industries, which most of us aren't so that will never be consider.
in conclusion, AMD wins, simple as that.

Great video! I hope you do a comparison of the TR 3960X, TR 3970X and the W-3175X when the TR3's come out Nov 25. I'm wondering also about impact of security mitigations and the Windows thread scheduling issues. You might even consider performing benchmarks using Linux. Most scientific and financial modelling software run on Linux. I'm thinking wallstreet bankers wouldn't care about the cost of a W-3175X.

now redo the tests on Linux and enjoy a complete reversal in results or use Coreprio because Windows is basically broken with such high core count CPUs,
You're also comparing your overclocking results with a 28C Xeon 8180M, this server CPU have a base clock of 2, 5Ghz compared to the Xeon W-3175X that has a base clock of 3. 10Ghz, no wonder why you got a much better result

I saw one CPU that you can't purchase in almost anywhere unless someone does a really crazy cooling also power supply system, in the other hand, a normal real-world CPU Threadripper, of course, that is completely ready to been sold with standard parts to be built by anyone. So no need for further explanation, facts speak for themselves!

intel needs to get their shit together. its not just the 1000$ cpu difference that is absurd. its the whole platform cost. amd is whooping intel's ass when it comes to price/perf and with 2-5% performance differences and $1000's even the pros who have less concern towards cost will start looking away from intel.

So will you be doing another comparison against Epyc? Their 32 core costs even more then the Xeon, so maybe you should see if paying more for an Epyc is worth it, or maybe even try the Epyc that's about the same price as xeon? Maybe try to find some server benchmarks to test too.

Great reviewer, but I'm sorry Intel does make a great CPU but there whole model GOT THE CASH SPENT IT ON US, POOR PEOPLE --%%- OFF we only care about money not getting poor people any good tech so they might threaten the status quote
