I'll be upgrading my SB2 to the Surface Laptop studio I7 32gb ram 2tb, i use my sb2 to play DCS(flight sim) on it & for the most part it was awesome just a little slow to load since its a full on flight simulator, with all the hardware upgrades & that I'm really looking forward to playing it on the Laptop studio. i also do a lot of editing on photoshop & all that, love the idea of the new speakers.

not a fan of the new build, preferred the old one. wish they would have just added a surface pro-like kickstand
gpu is nice, but time goes on but their options for hardware (ram, storage, cpu) is stuck in 2009-era stasis.
the gpu could not have been weaker if they tried lmao
also not a fan of pricing

There was NO 'problem' with the Surface Book's tablet portion. You can attach that screen backwards so that it's still a drawing tablet with an incline adjustable to any angle.
Laptop Studio solves nothing and adds on even more limitations and restricts the already narrow use-case of the Surface Book.

Disappointing, the advantage of giving the SB a laptop base is to be able to put in an 8 core CPU and highest GPU possible like other brands like Dell XPS, etc. This does not do anything different than the SB3. I hope MS will continue to give us an 8core SB4+ and Nvidia, even in that design.

Welp. Either Acer's ConceptD Ezel line will have to get a lot cheaper or Acer will have to discontinue it. The Studio Laptoo does a lot right in a smaller package, and with a more artist friendly screen (outside of color accuracy- maybe.

Regarding the Surface Book, you don't just put it down to ink. You reattach it to the base in reverse orientation. It compares much more favorably with the Surface Laptop Studio when you do that.

Remember, there was an RTX Quadro card available in the top of the line Surface Book 3, this 3050ti isn't even going to be huge leap, considering the 2 tiered based they've added for cooling.

Hopefully an AMD variant will come out soon, there-s no getting around it.
You can get more with an AMD system in that body than Intel and the GTX3050TI probably with better thermals to boot.

I do want this, but what about battery life of i7xRTX version? Not sure it's gonna last more than 4h even with a light usage, given also the high refresh rate. What do you think?
