we will modify the skin without affecting the skin texture and might as well improve the same Rudy2053: Hi. thanks for the video, I've been trying to find a way to add skin texture to some vintage portraits I reconstructed, and I have a question for you. I wonder if it is possible to copy the skin texture from another face, into the one I want to correct, with the stamp tool or other method. It's just an idea, old portraits become too flat. Thanks again.

Another great time-saving tip is to create an Action by recording all the steps in creating the layers and smart layer etc, then applying it to any future images. It even remembers to name the layers. Great tutorial as always Unmesh.

Hi Unmesh, this was a very good tutorial. Really helpful. I was wondering can we use FS instead of doing high pass and just colour on the low frequency (colour) layer. Wouldn't it be the same? Thanks in advance

What would be really helpful is if the models in the photos didn't have perfect skin or near perfect as my clients aren't models but real ordinary people. They have sun spots and acne and other imperfections.

this tutorial is REALLY amazing but I had some trouble: if I desaturate, then the area where I paint gets black and white! I see in the second example you didn't desaturate. Same trouble anybody? Thanx.

I've been watching your videos for this skin retouching. But now I'm confused which one I will apply. they all look amazing. Hope you will upload your workflow in editing your photos from start to finish: )

PROBLEM! The method is fine, but I have a problem. When I paint with a brush, I get red tinges. And despite using an eraser and re-painting, red brush marks are formed. How to solve this problem?

I really don't understand how you can dislike this video. At least appreciate all the effort this guy puts in explaining everything. Douchebags

He is good, but not a photographer, he is manipulating the reality, so thats not for a photographer to do, however he is a master in photoshop!

after using the high pass layer for the eye bag correction, can you duplicate the layer (ctrl+j) and rasterize the new layer for texture?
reply

I cant tell you how much learning I am getting by watching your videos. Man, you are amazing. Thanks you for sharing your expertise with us.

Great video! What is the difference between creating a high pass layer and then painting below it, and painting with a brush in hue mode?
