we will also learn how to dodge and burn to add more dimension and make your creative portrait really pop. We will start off by preparing the texture for the application. Then we will use Liquify to manually mold the texture around the skin. During this time, we will learn several techniques to set the color or the texture to match with the bumps of the portrait. Then, using multiple different blend modes, we will not only apply it realistically but also additionally dodge and burn to add depth and dimension. At the end, we will also learn how to sharpen the texture and a cool little trick to make the iris of the eye pop!

Thanks for this video! Too bad Photoshop can't do the face texture automatically!
I have 2 Q's:
1. Can I use an EPS image instead of a JPEG to put on top of my bottom image?
2. How can I export the final result to print large HD images of approximately 1. 5 meters x 1. 5 meters?

You do a wonderful job. As Roman Romero said so well in his comment below, I would say that there are 7 levels of photoshop
1. Beginner
2. Pre-intermediate
3. Intermediate
4. Pre Advanced
5. Advanced
6. Upper Advanced
7. PiXimperfect
Very Thanks

I have noticed while using Photoshop that at times when using the select tool or clone stamp that the software does not respond. At times I have to exit completely and start all over again. Any suggestions Piximperfect?

Hi Umesh, your tutorials are so helpful for us. I wanted to ask you couldn't we use liquefy to mold 'texture layer' from face to neck instead of working on two different layers?

This is exactly the type of artful, creative technique & effect I needed to learn for a similar project. I prefer your method vs. displacement map. Well done! Thanks a lot.

You do a fantastic tutorial. You make very difficult concepts easy, by breaking it down into step by step, paint by the numbers, methods. Fantastic job.

Does the portrait have to be with black background? It doesn't work at all like this for me when I use the portraits I shot myself.
