I'm still very new to Photoshop as I'm doing an online course, but being able to watch these detailed videos alongside that has helped me massively. I'd have to watch these tutorials again as I practice but they are incredibly detailed and informative. So much great content. I'm picking up tips and tricks that I never thought I'd learn in such a short time. So I just want to say thank you PiXimperfect for uploading so much great content.

well, this comment of mine is gonna be different from others, 'cause it's not about the things you teach here! but it's about the background tracks you use. i must say you have an excellent test you music which makes these videos even more enjoyable to watch! thanks for everything once again!

Why did you name this tutorial so that people think its only about cutting out the shadow and placing on a new background! But in reality this has covered a lot about all the different vital aspects of the art of composition with photo realism. It is way more than just the shadows

Thank you Unmesh. When I try to save only the camera and shadow as PNG, what I get is the shadow with it's white background still around it.
Why is that and what can I do if I need to perfectly save the image and shadow as PNG?

you think the pen tool is your ally, you merely adapted the pen tool. i was born in it, molded by it. i didn't know how to use the pen tool until i already learned how to use Adobe Illustrator, by then there was nothing to master.

At 11: 42, you say, '. with the mask selected. ' I can't select the mask without deselecting the object it's linked to (like you did) The object, in my case, is ALWAYS selected, no matter what I do. How can I deselect it?

I love how all the tutorial choose a photo/object with a perfect one color background and start working on it. When in real life you have to take a shadow out of a image like shown in 21: 58. Useless.

I'd like to know how to copy the shadow from the picture where the shadow is laying on the colorful area not on the white or grey ) and thank you for the amazing video lesson every time!

I have question about solid color. What are the differences between the way how you created solid color on the background / just simply create a new layer and fill it with color?

I avoid the pen tool with all cost. And I always will. Ive tried over and over on projects and made a complete mess of it.
Its an awful tool, and very difficult to use.

I used to use the Lasso tool to do my cut outs, as I never really knew how to work with the pen tool as it kept changing shapes as i drew. now i know how to avoid them.
