A Simple Trick to Easily Match Colors in a Composite with Gradient Map in Photoshop! Learn how to use the combination of Curves and Gradient Map Adjustment Layers to create, edit, and modify the light and it's color to blend the subject with its new background

When I bring up the gradient mask the bar goes from white on the left to black on the right. I check the box that says reverse and that fixed that but when I go to the color picker it is again white on the left and black on the right. So I just decided to go with it anyway. Now when I click on the right most slider and try to pick the lightest color it goes straight to black and the subject goes black as well. Something is wrong with my gradient mask tool. I am confused and frustrated!

I disagree with the title of this video. You are NOT MATCHING colors, you are applying a gradient map to the player image which adds a tint of the halo color. It's a neat trick but it is misleading from a color perspective, particularly when you print the images. In other words, colorizing would have been more appropriate.

Can any editors tell me the reason behind my problem.
After retouching a pic in photoshop and when i export that as a Jpeg pic, then when I copy the same edited pic into my mobile phone, the image seems to be more saturated in my mobile screen, is there any solution to fix that?

Hey Unmesh, really liked this technique! However, I have a question: what is the difference between using the Gradient Map and the Colorize function, in the Hue/Saturation menu? They seem to have pretty much the same results.

When I go to create a colour gradient, it just selects black as the colour from the background no colours
