Layers are the heart of Photoshop, and this is the ultimate beginner's guide to mastering them! Join PiXimperfect Pro - The Ultimate Photoshop Training Course: https://pix.live/pro In this video, we'll learn what layers really are and how to use them confidently, through fun projects, with every shortcut shown for Mac and Windows. We'll start with opacity, the Background layer, and transparency, then cover the everyday basics, from creating, duplicating, naming, hiding, and deleting layers to zooming into any layer, removing empty ones, merging, and creating a Stamp Visible layer. Then we'll master Clipping Masks, Layer Styles with Drop Shadow, and Layer Groups, and finish with the types of layers you'll use most: raster layers, Smart Objects, Adjustment Layers, Generative Layers, and shape and text layers. Whether you're new to Photoshop or layers have never quite clicked, use the chapters to jump to any section and the practice files to follow along.

You’re always amazing, and I really learn a lot from the way you explain things and make them easier to understand.
Would it be possible to make a video explaining color separation for screen printing on clothes, especially designs with gradient colors I find this topic a bit confusing, and I’m sure ur usual way of explaining things would make it much easier to understand and apply in practice.
Thx in advance for ur time and effort. Wishing u all the best

Hello Umesh! Please make a video of Photocraft, a clean room open source reimplementation of Photoshop written in Rust. Everyone is celebrating like this is the greatest Christmas gift ever! The power of Photoshop for free and without the bloat!
I have long moved on from Windows to Linux and Photoshop is the killer app that's missing. Now it's finally here! And it's gonna get better!

Hi sir, I came across something new in the market called Artcraft. It seems to offer several applications that have been rebuilt from scratch as alternatives to Adobe’s software. I’m interested in trying them out and would love to hear your thoughts and user experience with these applications.

I must say that your nack for teaching and making a subject perfectly conceivable is uncanny. Your way of describing things really sits with me. I already know these things as I am not new to Photoshop or these concepts but I do enjoy watching your content for the entertainment.

This is fantastic. One final tip. If you are placing into InDesign It's possible to retain the vector and text, all the way to the RIP if you save as Photoshop PDF. Save as PSD, you only retain the vector and text when opening in Photoshop.

Nice but so many people do not have the latest AI versions of PS due to rediculous pricing. Something covering traditional methods would be appreciated. Also the new AI stuff uses a lot of computer resources and can be extremely slooooow!

Yesssss. Even knowing all about layers its good to refresh all basic concepts. Doesent matter whether you are beginner or pro simply because its incredibly easy and well explained. Many thanks Maestro. Best regards from Spain

Great lesson. One shortcut that saved me tons of time: Alt/Option-click the line between two layers to clip the top one to the one below, so adjustments only affect that layer instead of the whole image.

Wow - a LOT of options explained with clarity. But, like learning a musical instrument you have to practice, practice, practice. Thank you for another great training video

An excellent clip! Could you make a video where you create an image from scratch, adding a lot of layers, and ending up with a finished product, meaning a complete image

Brother I appreciate all of your efforts you put in work to teach us but please make a master class on puppet and prospective warp. I really need them in composition.

Sir, I have a question, what can you say about AI...when it comes to Photoshop and in the future.. Will Photoshop be affected, regarding the use of AI

Your tutorials are awesome. The pro version is gonna be my holiday gift to myself if Trump don’t destroy the entire planet before then.
