Amiga Top 50 Games

Amiga Top 50 Games As someone who only heard once about the system in the nineties, and with no memories about it whatsoever, I have to say I am impressed with its longevity. Games from the mid-nineties look like they were created for a completely different machine. Some interesting games here, and most of them look better than what they did on consoles. The fact that all the fighting games were super slow and not exciting is definitely a bad thing here, but considering the age of the machine, it still holds up well.\r\n

this was my first console ever.
once a friend visited me. we played for several hours and it was all fun. i went to the toilet and when i came back, my friend told me, out of nothing, he has to go.
the amiga wasnt working anymore and my mom beat my as. s off.
years later he told me, he accidently poured water into the amiga and didnt know how to say it. damn this was 27 years ago.

Very fun list, I recall playing many of these on other platforms (or in the arcade. The Great Giana Sisters looked almost identical to SMB, of course, and I was wondering if they ever got sued by Nintendo. Wikipedia says no, but they did withdraw the game rather quickly after Nintendo accused them of copyright infringement.

The Amiga was brilliant, sound and graphics as shown in Turrican and its later incarnations, a shout out to the developers of same and especially those who developed Apprentice and Flood, two brilliant games! inovative and unusuall, but of course for a quick hit one has to go to SpeedBall.

if you had the mega drive or nes, man you suck so bad amiga was the best and still has some of the most original games ever made. wish pc games would take notice and go back to there roots. stop making games for casuals and make them hardcore again.

Nice list that bring back a lot of fun memories: -)
I'm looking for a particular game, but I cannot remember the name. It was a platform game with little war robots that moving around in a grey backgound maze-like future city.
Any ideas?

Nice List, Sensible soccer best game ever made for me, miss in the list games like Toki and Indy Heat, some of the car games and sensible soccer were crazy good to play with friends. i think The Manager was very good to the old Football Manager.

Another world was like the next step in gaming evolution, I can't tell u how exiting it was to play that game and lose weeks on it. then I bought it on ipad a few years ago realised it was like 30 min to complete

I will add that the Amiga 500 could be connected to another Amiga 500 via a self-made cable and played not only against the computer, but also against another player. This is how my son and I played Wings for example.

I'd probably replace Panzer Kick Boxing with Fightin Spirit and Xenon II with Apidya. I liked Jim Power also. Wait. Ghostbusters II? Oh. its one of those lists, Clueless content creation.

Beautiful sprite design too.

Thanks for this. The hours I would spend watching one of my brothers playing many of these games. I loved playing turbo outrun, lemmings games, pinball dreams.

I was lucky enough to play most of these. Great times, and great games on an amazing machine much ahead of anything else you could find at the time.
