I am Vivaldi user for almost 1 year or more. Program attracted my attention because of Speed Dial and my bookmarks organization. First few months I would sometimes open Chrome because I added in Vivaldi extension AdBlock and till now I am using it. I like those little things that Vivaldi developers implemented. Like when you download something you will see almost all about that file in left corner, downloaded file size, transfer speed and other cool stuff. I like details. From begging I downloaded about 4 Vivaldi updates and they are so cool. Every minor update close your Vivaldi and in a minute bring it back to you with new version. Page about new features is in front of you to see what they have implemented or fixed. Latest cool but for me great thing is ability to change option Limit Accent Color Saturation . This things makes me happy. Now I put slider or 50 percent and colors are better not so bright. But now there is something I don't understand why they don't implement Google suggest keywords list. I mean when I start typing in Chrome after two or three characters you get list of suggestions. In Vivaldi I put Google as my default search engine and when start typing, Vivaldi suggest list is so short because they include only things from history. I always delete history at the end of my web session so when I restart browser there are no suggested keywords like Google have. Please do something about that. I don't want to type complete sentences when Google provide me just that. Anyways I am hooked to Vivaldi and I have it on my home and work computer. Same bookmarks same theme. Keep doing good small little changes which will make Vivaldi great for everyone. BTW I don't like Firefox, IE and Edge, only Vivaldi or Chrome are installed on my computers. So my desire is to remove Chrome and leave just Vivaldi sometime in the future. If somebody from Vivaldi development team read this please can you do something about processes of Vivaldi. One instance has 3 or more processes in Windows task manager. I really don't know why you need so many processes. Even after I exit browser there is vivaldi.exe 32 process in list.

I found out about Vivaldi a few days ago and have been using it exclusively since then. It's a great browser, especially for power users and those who like to have a large number of configuration options. For the casual Web user, the features and configuration might be a bit overwhelming. But for those of us who do research and other extensive browsing, we typically have numerous tabs open. The tab stacking and tiling features alone are reasons enough to switch to Vivaldi. I'm liking it very much, and I probably won't have a reason to go back to Edge, Firefox, or Chrome. I've imported all of my bookmarks from Firefox. One useful addition to Vivaldi would be a feature similar to Firefox, whereby you login to the browser and have the ability to store your bookmarks on the cloud, and to sync them across devices. At present, I don't see this ability in Vivaldi, although I haven't poked into all corners of the browser yet to see if it might be available. I'll also welcome the Android version of Vivaldi, when it becomes available, to replace the current browser on my smartphone.

Nice Demo! Another thing that would be handy, (and it's already set in my settings and clearly states so) Would be pinned tabs which I prefer because they go from the size of a pin to full screen in one click! NOW, yes I can get a split screen if I want it but I have Linux Mint KDE so I can have as many Virtual windows as I want AND a regular split screen. BUT Vivaldi has OBVIOUSLY decided I will like this better than like ten mini tabs I had set up already AND the start up screen I ALREADY had set up! Now It pays ZERO attention to MY settings, only what it thinks I SHOULD prefer! I was really loving it until a couple of days ago and wrote to tell them so! No response! And good luck trying to get in touch with anyone now! And tab stacking ? what a pain in the ... How is THAT an improvement over a SIMPLE pinned tab? It's like a keyboard shortcut there is no such thing! Point and click, drag and drop? Now THOSE are short cuts!

Not a lot of convincing features, I used to be a diehard Firefox fan but every single feature it had was half-done and forced me to get 1 of everything for it... a download manager, a findbar, a searchbar, an ad blocker, a spellchecker; etc. Nothing that came with Firefox worked good enough. Now Opera has been good to me so far, only have to add ad blocker, its still not anyway perfect but a giiiiant step from Firefox. Best Opera feature I would miss is Visual Bookmarks, I can't remember all the bookmarks I have lead to or what they were for, Opera solved that by letting me select any picture on the site or its logo and scroll down the image if I had to crop it. If only Vivaldi or Torch had visual bookmarks AND the epic privacy terms similar to Opera (Opera clearly states in just 1 line the Browser does not track, record or send private data) I'd be converted to one of those browsers.

Thanks for the upload. You have pointed out features that I would have never discovered simply by using Vivaldi. I've been using Vivaldi off and on since it was new. I don't care for MS Edge and lately I've wanted to get away from Firefox. Until recently, I haven't had time to take a serious look at Vivaldi. It's taken a little time to acclimate to the features and layout. The thing I really like is that Vivaldi is fast! The customization features are nice. You're not locked into the developer's vision of what is best. Two things I had to find online were importing favorites/bookmarks and enabling LastPass. LastPass is a quick and easy Chrome extension that you install. Now that I've resolved those concerns, Firefox has been booted from my system. I recommend Vivaldi to anyone. There's a slight learning curve and a big difference in overall speed.

I have constantly switched between Palemoon and Seamonkey on two machines for desktop browsing, and a portable version of either Cyberfox or K-Meleon for fast news-based browsing. I have tried Firefox Light but I would advise against it, some treat it as malware or coming from a dubious source (forge). After having some not so complete download issues with the most recent Seamonkey I decided to finally try out Vivaldi. It has some great features when it comes to customisation but is not as fast as I'd like - on the other hand I think youtube has slowed down a little over the last year or two which hasn't helped. Perhaps there are ways to optimise it more? It's based on or uses similar elements to Opera, although Ccleaner identifies Vivaldi as Chrome, and Spywareblaster doesn't identify it at all ..yet

I'm impressed with this new browser! I haven't downloaded it yet because I wanted to get more info 1st, but with this GREAT explanation & demo of how great it works, I'm on my way to download it now! I LOVE the stacking features! I'm a Wildlife Artist & I always have multiple tabs open. Many of my open tabs do relate to each other, especially when I'm researching reference photos for the next species of Eagle I'm going to do in my Eagles of the World series. Vivaldi will help me stay more organized with far less clutter! Thanks! I'll be passing the word!

Initially after downloading the recent Vivaldi version I found that my internet speed was slower. So using the Tech Gumbo instructions for getting a faster internet speed using the change of DNS server the speed did pickup. However later I found the internet speed had slowed again. Then I opened up the Firefox browser in addition to the Vivaldi browser and the Firefox internet speed was much faster while the Vivaldi browser speed remained to be slow. Any idea what I should do? Should I close one of these browsers and see what happens? Please comment.

Long time Opera user, when I saw that one of the creators started Vivaldi, well I had to try it; my three browsers are in order: Opera, Seamonkey and Vivaldi. I removed Chrome, resource hungry, and I'm not a fan of a browser that wants to track everything I do even if you turn that stuff off and I removed Firefox. Only thing that annoys me on Vivaldi is I can't find away to freeze the annoying community link animation.
