Steam was made to stop people from infringing on copy-write , that patching was partial to stop that from happening because without being able to have a registered version via steam that any patch was going to be a give away of if you were registered or not, and that any thing the patch was meant to stop,, as being made for the purpose of crapping out pirate versions,, that the patch would be useless. I know this because I saw the first steps Valve took to do it, and that Stem was their inception of standardizing their game library for a sales platform, to try to minimize piracy, that became Steam. Steam = Valve. What they won't tell you is their game half-life was the most pirated game of it's year. Which is what actually gave the game it's fame, more than the game sales, it was the equivalent to doom as a pirated game. Valve launched Steam alongside Half-Life 2. And was a kick start for serious modders to gain their fame from circumventing the need for pirates to even need patches because the mods where and are making the games better than the base games by adding much need life to them than the creators seem to want to do after their sales have reached their potential as of returns on outlay.. but then again their the creation club that prostitutes the games for micro payments on mods that the modders themselves make, but that get little back from adding to, even as recognition,, making the CC a dead horse being poked with a blunt stick for modders to even use as a place to get their mods seen,, as that bethesda hands shakes with valve but shuns steam as a place to sell mods on because bethesda are not the ones creating the mods, and in such steam possibly bawks from them prostituting the modders for dribbles of coin.

I like unique apps that do things you wouldn't normally think of a pc doing - my best example is the combination Talkatone and Google Voice which will give you a real working free phone and free phone number for your PC over wifi. You get a free phone number with Talkatone to use with GV if you don't already own any phone. You can do this with a PC, apple or android tablet or phone. I use it as a second phone line at home on PC and also as a tablet wifi phone when i'm on the go like at walmart or mcdonalds. with my 10 inch windows tablet.. If you get the number from Talkatone, you have to use it at least once a month or they disconnect the number. On PC, you need Bluestacks to run Talkatone to get the free number, then you just link the number to GV and you can then use the system from any web browser or google hangouts extension after closing Bluestacks.. - I want to see More apps that do unique things like this.

The game store on steam is still the best ??? Have you ever tried gog.com? Basically steam sells all kinds of crap of which a lot doesn't even work properly. Gog.com has a lot fewer games. But they basically just work and there is no DRM crap getting in the way of you playing the game the way you want... Even EA's origin store is better than steam when it comes to customer control and had refunds years before steam got them... The only metric by which the steam store is the best is the number of games available. But that comes with the enormeous caveat of having to dig through the shitton of amazingly bad games being published every day.

I m not sure this is the best software unless you feel very specialized software is the.best. i don t. If I wanted something very specialzed to an area, then these apps might have something to offer. However, when I think of the best I think of something that is generally very outstanding that anyone can take advantage of not just a handful of people. Not to say you didn t do a good job presenting the software but I approached thinking I was going to see something very different.

I am not a techie but i am so impressed by all the websites and softwares that you suggest in your videos that i bookmark them all but lately i keep forgetting what website will be helpful in any 'xyz' problem. So is there anyway that i can add comments or description to these bookmarks so that it will become easier to search a particular useful website? Or any website that contains all these websites under several categories? Please reply!! And keep it up!

Is there any software that can automatically rename my music. I had an old iPod that died on me and I was able to rip the music off of it but all the file names are messed up. I tried renaming them on myself but with over 3000 songs I made it about 400 into this project and never finished that was over a year ago. PLEASE HELP! I've looked and looked but still have not found any software they can help me with this problem.

The problem with Steam - the Cable company is higher rated than Steam. They are known for horrible or non-existent customer support. I actually abandoned PC gaming for years after my experience with Steam. It is much more reliable now, but many people remember days of not being able to play their purchases because the Steam servers were down.

Sublime Text is annoying nagware that isn't very extensible and has very bad memory leaks (eats up 100% CPU and 2GB of RAM while staying closed on a Mac). A better alternative, for the purpose of this video, would be either Atom, or better Visual Studio Code. Both are MUCH more extensible, and actually free, free from annoying nagging.
