i wish i could find more shows, such as Homeland, that illuminate how things are really done in the most powerful institutions in the world. i like the subject of the CIA because they're almost quasi governmental in regards to the fact that they're willing to do pretty much anything (no option is off the table) to gain the upper hand when they have to as they deal with other powerful entities. it's difficult to find this type of show that has a real informative aspect. i guess the Blacklist is another of these types of shows that show how the most current huge criminal enterprises (presumably) operate.

I don't have the best attention span for tv shows anymore. I've given too much time to shows that went nowhere. I enjoyed Castle Rock except the last episode for many reasons. That's the only one I've seen from this list. No being from the US, not all these are easy to access (I had to get Castle Rock on DVD)

What is your favorite TV show that you think more people should be watching? Over the last several years, there have been many great shows that have been cancelled due to lack of viewership. Like many people, I'm still hoping that Hannibal will come back.

Did anybody watch Low Winter Sun when it was on? Wanna say 2013ish. Amazing show that got cancelled after 1 season. Mark Strong and Lennie James starred in it and was way too good to not see at least 5 seasons.

The Americans was one of the best-acted, most well-written series, ever. With 6 seasons, it s ideal for binge-watching. And a superb final episode. Be warned, though: lots of violence.

I watched the night manager when it first came out. Ive been hoping for a second season for years. Its a great series, can highly recommend it if you enjoy british spy thrillers.
