Anybody else looking for The 100 to be included in this list? I'm not surprised but I'm disappointed, it shouldve been atleast in the top 15-10! First three episodes are a bit simple but hell, if you suddenly start to watch episodes of the next seasons you might thought you're watching an entirely different show with just the same casts. The plots are great, I've never seen most of em in other shows, every episode is action-packed, and man, I live for the Character Developments in this show. To people who's looking for a new series to binge watch, you better start now cause season finale is premiering next month. If you wanna know, first season's plot is about the few survivors who are living in space-stations since a nuclear war destroyed the earth 97 years ago. Mechanical issues starts to arise, mainly on their oxygen supply, and they decided to send down 100 underaged criminals who they consider expendable to test if the Earth is finally survivable again. Omg this comment is so long I have to end it here lol. I swear, this is a must-watch. Ai gonplei ste odon.

Update 04/15/2020: Yes, WESTWORLD is one of the GREATEST TV SHOWS OF ALL TIME!!! Season 3 further proves it. If you gave up on it after season 2, you're missing out! Season 3 is AMAZING!!! Only modern era TV shows were considered for this top 20. It's unfair to compare modern shows with classic TV series. Here are some other great shows that are worth watching: Sons of Anarchy, Band of Brothers, True Detective, Prison Break, OZ, The X-Files, Twin Peaks, Doctor Who, Mad Men, 24, Miami Vice, The Walking Dead, The Shield, Boardwalk Empire, Big Bang Theory, and Better Call Saul.

A few series that were missing on this list (23 April 2020): Barry; American Gods; American Horror Story; Stranger Things; The Witcher.. there seems to have been a massive increase in great writing, visual effects, set designs, etc. over the past 10+ years, so the list of really great series is _long, long, long._ I know theres more, I'll be back.. good list, though. You've got all the right ones. Thanks, I've got some stuff to watch/catch up on.

oh man , as much i love your website discoveries , i must confess you totally confused me with this classification .. A 20 bestof not even mentionning black mirror , House of cards , the man in the high castle and the initiator of the action tvshows prison break is totally unconceptable from my own pespective.. NB: Billions in the 20th place ??? man i'am speechless...bad week maybe?

I m not a TV series person as I m easily bored with long stories. I ve struggled with my memories as well. Breaking Bad is indeed too good until I find it difficult to find some comparable series. Just finished La Casa De Papel yesterday & in my opinion is pretty good as well.

Boardwalk Empire and OZ?!!! How are these two shows constantly overlooked?! OZ was the first of the cinema quality shows, pre-dating The Sopranos. And Boardwalk Empire misses out, while Freinds makes the list? Each to their own, but wow that's ridiculous!

Sherlock should be too 5 purely cause it s so cleverly wrote . A lot of the times you miss the words cause it s said so fast with double meanings . Honestly watch Sherlock twice and you d realise how much dialogues you missed the first time

LOST should be among top 5. It is like everybody forgot how LOST changed television. It is a way better show than Westworld. And LOST aired on ABC while most of the other shows aired od HBO, Netflix with larger production budget.

There s Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire and then there s everything else. Twin Peaks would ve been up there but the majority of season 2 was ass. And Deadwood I haven t finished but i m sure it deserves to be up there
