BIG Shoulders. WIDE Back with just 1 Exercise! brent: John Stephan-good question but no it's not like an upright row. The reason being is he is careful to insure no internal rotation of the shoulder. When the db's are out for they are level with the shoulder. As they come back the hands, elbows and shoulder all stay on the same level. Internal rotation occurs when the hands travel medically (toward the center of the body) and most commonly, as in a barbell upright row, the elbows are higher than the hands, ie, internal rotation. Also, watch as jeff keeps his thumbs slightly elevated as he raises the weights. This is important to keep and pressure points from occurring inside the shoulder while elevating the hands. Also notice his posture. He is upright while doing all of these shoulder and back exercises. This is super important! If he has an anterior tilt of his upper back and shoulders (if he rounds his upper back) he reduces the range of motion in his shoulders. That causes impingement. That's bad! Hope this helps!

I worked out wrong for years and walked around with a torn labrum for years (thinking it was nothing. I think i tore it as a kid playing football and then i used to squats with the widest of angle (real dumb move. i like the stetch. I ended up with 3 pins in my left shoulder and 70% range of motion up and about 35 on the side. I think this would work for me

Type in Vettel pole abuDhabi 2011 and watch Sebs pole run at Abu Dahbi 2011. It was the best video for showing the intense demands a f1 driver goes through every lap but F1 blocked the originaly video so this is the only one I could find and its pretty messed up but u get the idea if u focus on the top or bottom view.

Good noon Jeff your vedios are good, I could combine the skills, timing in executing the forms during my gym time, the shared to others gymnasts. thank you Jeff it enchancement my know how to use the dumbell, barbells, cables, and other machines in the gym. takecare Praise God.

the G force those guys have to deal with is huge! and the fact that they have to stay light and slim is a big benefit because is little weight of grams help them shave of 1000th of a second to win. Also, races can go on for 2 or more hours on hot days without breaks.

Jeff if I did that but using the machine with the long bar attachment lean back and pull towards me will it work out both? because that's a exercise I use and I find it works well but I'm not sure if it's targeting my shoulders much

just asking out of curiosity: whenever I work out my back I can't feel my rear delts getting anything and if I find a workout for my last they immediately try to charlie horse or whatever verb you use to describe pulling a muscle)

A chest press can also be done with this techniqueOr take exercise 2 from flat feet video and do thisI usually use a cable machine so the weight of the dumbbell and the cable resistance can be in creased together.
