Need more cutting edge ab exercises to carve out that 6 There is no doubt, there are a lot of ab exercises that you can do to try and develop 6 pack abs as quickly as possible. That said, there are only a handful of them that can actually be called the best ab exercises! In this video I show you a new ab exercise that you can drop into your next ab workout to get an entirely new challenge. It can be considered a lower ab exercise, midrange abs targeter, and even a stability challenge. In fact, this is one of the best abs exercises that I know for challenging all of these at once. You see, exercises for the abs need to be more than just crunches. In order to fully develop the abdominals you have to incorporate resisted rotation and bottom up rotation (as shown in this video. If you don't include this type of focus in your ab exercises you are leaving a lot of possible progress on the table. The pendulum plank exercise that I show you here is certainly unique and cutting edge. It takes traditional planks to a whole new level of pain. Forget needing a ball for this ab exercise, in fact you can do this with just a couple of benches, a band and either a kettlebell, dumbbell or plate as I demonstrate. The key is to get the momentum of the plate swinging left to right and then have to control your pelvis so it doesn't swing with it. As with any ab exercise however, you have to be conscious of actually making the abs contract! Don't just fake your way through a set. Actively try and focus the effort through the abs and this home ab exercise will become one of the best in your ab arsenal in no time

you obviously don't know anything about getting abs. Crunches are the worst when it comes to getting rid of belly fat, they are good for building muscle and gaining strength for the abs, not making them come out. The key to lose fat is cardio, clean diet, and calories deficit. You can do as many crunches as you want to, you can have the best abs in the world, but nobody's gonna see it because of the fat layer.

ignore adamx20.
athlean-x is a monday-friday program. or 5 day/week if you will. you dont have to start on monday but that is how its designed.
the idea of the program is you will become functional & ripped & ab exercises are implemented in all the workouts. its how you should train anyhow (y) but do remember its your nutrition that will show your abs, not what exercises you do & how frequent.

Hey Jeff,
Love your videos. Very informative. We all know 30% is gym work but the rest is what you eat. Do you have any info/ books on eating correct. I need help in this department. I would love to drop my body fat down into single digits. I'm around 14% now.
Thanks.

I work in a bakery factory and I use it for a work out
if you took weights a picking them up from the top mid to floor twisting back to put them on a table could you get a good ab work out from that,
my job is to turn 12 hours to 10: -) fast and hard ha ha ha

Great choice Jeff with Hubner 92, what a body as well! I picked him as well: . I'm already the go to guy and the gym for abs 'cause young and old are jealous of this old man's abs: . Now with this exercise they're all going to think I've lost my marbles. LOL.

Would this work with a weight belt? I have a nylon belt with a chain length that holds plates. I'm curious if I could do that with the belt.
Of course, I suppose I could but I am more curious to what I am missing.

I used to get a buddy to kick my torso from side to side to provide that resistance, it's actually a really good variation but it's great to see that similar results can be attained with just a band and weight! Cheers
