How to Gain Weight if You're Skinny (NUTRITION MYTH)

X Training System at. This same plan not only helped me to build muscle as a skinny guy but it also ironically helped guys that were overweight to get ripped! How does that work? It happens because when you start having a respect for your nutrition and you provide your body with the nutrients that it needs to build lean muscle, you change the way your body responds to your training. If you are looking to add muscle fast, you'd simply eat more of the right foods to establish a caloric surplus while making sure the food quality was high. If you needed to lose weight you'd cut back on the quantities but always ensure that the quality was kept high. So whether you're skinny and looking for how to gain weight or how to get big fast. or you're an overweight guy looking to lose weight your approach to the foods you eat would be the same

I've been eating healthy ( oatmeal, rice, pasta, -250g of chicken breasts every day, veggies rich in calories, potatoes, olive oil, a bit of fish such as tuna, eggs and few other foods with a lot of garlic sauce and olive oil for cooking, basically getting more carbs and protein than I need ) around 2000-2400kcal/day for almost a year and I've gained nothing, no muscle strenght no fat ( I've started with being able to do around 16 -correct- pushups total and ended up being able to do 21 while my own weight was unchanging 130 pounds / -58kg.
I think what the problem was is that I haven't ate enough fat and I've ate 3 times a day only. If I would've added a lot of fat such as 300g/day of Curd and 200g/day of Fatback into my meal plan and split it into lets say 5-7 smaller meals per day it would've been a lot different outcome.

This was exactly what i need now, since 3 weeks ive been eating quality foods for the first time in my life, was a real sugar lover couldnt get without. For the last 3 weeks ive ditched all the sugars and made a habit of eating the good carbs. Found my body was lost because of the big change in diet and lost a lot of weight because of it (after i gained it first) but this video from 8 years ago gives me the confidence that im doing the right thing, just have to stick with it. Big fan, been watching most of your videos

Thanks for all the great content Jeff. I've been following your advice and your workouts now for 3 months. I've seen definite toning and lost 6kg from my skinny frame (I had belly fat to get rid of. My food consists of weet bix, eggs, chicken, bananas, veggies, pasta and a protein shake after workouts. No hard gaining yet, but I'm more than happy with what I'm seeing in the mirror compared to before I started. I'll keep at it, it's my lifestyle now. Hopefully by Xmas this year I'll be fully ripped. -

And always be on the lookout for liquid calories, trust me it goes a long way, if you used to be skinny like me you know that once you hit puberty your Metabolism skyrockets and you get even skinnier, the best way to fight it is to obviously workout and honestly take those liquid calories, there so much easier to get down into the stomach, plus there packed with calories. calories calories calories, if your eating and not gaining weight, MORE

I was weight 209 lbs on Jaunary 12, 2021. Now, I'm weight 159. 4 lbs. I lost 49. 6 lbs in 3 months! They called me skinny but I don't look skinny to myself. My arms got a little bigger and my chest got a little bigger. I keep working out 3 days every week and I know in a few months my result will show my muscle growth. I wore thin sweaters and pants to work everyday. And, they didn't notice it yet and I didn't want to show them yet.

Some very good advice from Jeff about quality first. As a skinny guy I know that gaining weight seems impossible and one of the reasons is that we thin people are usually very emotional people that eat less when we are stressed. I have noticed that I eat only half when I have an upsetting event in my life. And during that stressful time the body breaks down existing muscle to feed itself.

Crazy how everyone is trying to lose weight I-ve been 115 ibs for the past year. just started getting back into the gym and eating chicken and rice, spinach, oatmeal, and protein shakes everyday for a week I-m at 117. gradual process gotta train the body to eat more though don-t get discouraged results won-t shine overnight -

lol. you know brown rice and oatmeal grains are highly inflammatory? out of touch fitness expert.
even bodybuilders and other fitness experts avoid grains and eat cinnamon toast crunch and corn flakes and lucky charms.
these healthy foods are not healthy. they cause bloating and discomfort in people.

If it doesn't go off in one day then its not good for you. Broccoli will wilt and lose most of it's nutrition if left on the bench. Steak will get blown by flys. Real cheese will start to go rank. Just eat fresh whole foods as much as you can and the rest will happen. The end.
