Most ab workouts miss the mark by focusing too much on only one or two functions of the abs alwaysuseless: I took detailed notes on your 22-Day Ab Workout video and understood how to do each exercise. Then I spread a sheet out on the living room carpet with a watch and my notes, lay down and discovered that workout was way too hard! I couldn't do even one rep. So I came here, took extensive notes again and discovered that I can -barely- do the Beginner's Version--a rep, recovery, another rep--except for the Sledgehammer Step Outs, which require a cable, which I don't have. So I'm game for doing this for 22 days without a break and beyond, until I can switch to the 22-Day Ab Workout. -Is there something I can do in lieu of the Beginner's Sledgehammer Step Outs that doesn't require equipment? - Doing the motions without the cable isn't trivial, but presumably not good enough.
NOTE: I'm a senior citizen who runs ultramarathons and has the aerobic fitness of someone half my age. I love running, but despite having a BMI of 19. 5 (6'2-, 152 lbs, I'm beginning to be -skinny fat. - That's just not acceptable. Also, I can't do even one full pull-up. I need to get stronger, and instead of skinny fat, I want to be at least flat.

I went from prime condition 145-149 lbs depending on how much running, to being attacked by black widows and bronchitis due to my lowered immune system a la spiders, and now I weigh 119 lbs (116. 2 at my lowest, barely got the okay to go back regular dieting and working out, so I'm nothing but bones, skin, and a little muscle. I'll be using your workout regiments from beginner to expert and see what my body looks like when I hit 145 again, for note, I could bench 265 x3, never quite hit double my weight, that's my goal this time around.
Well, day 1, here I go.

Hey, could you do a video that starts -They think your over the hill, but if you do this. -,
and then show some guy's who did the improbable.
I would lap that up. I betcha a lot of guy's would. Not the impossible. The improbable. And a moment of glory for having lived your life well.

Did three rounds of this today, doing the hardest version at least once for everything but the cyclone leg raises (don't have that kind of bar. I like it, but somehow it felt too easy, considering I didn't think my abs were that strong. Hope I'm doing these correctly lol. Will try to only do the hard versions next time, and maybe focus more on really contracting my abs.

hi jeff i see almost all other u tuber videos on work out but when i see athlean x video i fill more confidence and trust on ur video u gives and tips and demo actually full of encouregment and u teaches best technic u put ur 100 percent knowledge and minute detail
i only follow ur tips and technic for work out

Hey. Im about to do this. Is this okay for me? Im a pretty skinny guy and want to gain. Since im pretty skinny and have a fast metabolism im wondering if i should worry too much about notrition? Or just eat anything i can amd lots of it. I usually eat lots of meat and grains. Hardly any vegetables.

Jeff, since you are such a great physiotherapist, could you please develop a workout video for women who developed a diastasis problem after pregnancy? There are so many of us and unfortunately the doctors say that normal ab workouts worsen the problem. Thank you so much for helping us moms, Jeff!

Often in your videos we can't see your whole body and it makes it hard to follow your form perfectly. At 1: 50 for example. What are your feet doing? at 1: 26, what grip are you using? Also, your pants are so baggy! Also makes following your form harder sometimes. Like your videos a lot though.

Thanks for this, I'm down to 7% body fat and my abs are still not as defined as I want them to be, so this should help.
I mean I see pictures of abs with 7% body fat and mine don't look like them so I must just need to get the underlying muscles stronger at this point.

for those of you doing this workout. are you doing like 2 or 3 sets of it? i do 1 set and i can do some of the advanced and some of the beginners but its just not enough like i feel it in the moment but i dont have that burned muscle feeling
